I bought 3 robes to compare. I was looking for a towel-like robe to dry off in after my shower.I compared this one to -TowelSelections Women's Robe Turkish Cotton Hooded Terry Bathrobe (around $60) &alpine swiss Blair Womens Cotton Terry Cloth Bathrobe Shawl Collar Velour Spa Robe (around $35)I love this robe. It's very heavy and a pretty blue color. It has double belt loops, an inner security tie and fits well ( 5'4" 160#)I like the cuffed sleeves and they are nice and long. If I wanted them even longer they have a one cut release.The Towel Selections robe got 3 stars. Too much money, runs large, boxy cut, needs second loop. Medium weight, pretty color.Alpine Swiss received 4 stars. Medium weight, good robe for the money, runs very small in the length of the arms and across the shoulders.

This is a big, big robe! I'm a large woman, and the robe would fit fine, if I were 6' tall. I am only 5'3", however, and the sleeves are way too long, and it drags on the ground. In the dark purple one, I feel like the emperor of darkness dragging around the house in it! (The model must have arms like a gibbon and be 8' tall to have it fit like it does in the picture.) It's also, as stated in some other reviews, very linty! The first time I wore it, my deodorant was covered with purple fuzz after I used it. When I first washed the robe, it left the inside of the washer covered with more lint than when I wash the blanket the cats sleep on, and after only a couple of minutes in the dryer, I checked the lint catcher, and found this! :OAll that being said, however, it's a nice thick robe (it actually weighs five pounds!!), and perfect to put on straight out of the shower. The color is a rich purple, and it's nice and warm in which to sit and have coffee before getting dressed. I'm hoping that washing it in hot water and drying it on the hot cycle will help with the lintyness and maybe shrink it down a little, so I don't have to roll up the sleeves three times. I'm not going to send it back, because I don't think a smaller one would be any better, and honestly, I don't want to try to fight the massive thing back into its bag!!
Compare your size with mine for expected fit. Very warm and thick!

Well, for comparison, I am 5'3" and weigh 118 lbs. I ordered the smallest size they were showing, which was a small/medium. I can fit three people in this robe! The sleeves go down to the tips of my fingernails, and the length is just to the top of my ankles. Despite this, I am going to keep the robe. It is like an oversized, very expensive bath towel, very thick and very warm. Being cotton terry, it may shrink a bit in the dryer which may help a little.I will wrap the robe as I need to, and hem the cuffs of the sleeves after the first washing. Hopefully you will be able to judge how this will fit on you from my description. The chocolate brown is a nice deep brown and it goes perfectly with the BOBS skechers cherish wonder-fall clog slippers I bought on Amazon.

The robe is nice if you want a soft, feminine looking robe in a man's size. The add says that it is a women's robe and offers women's sizing. BUT that is NOT the size it comes in. It is actually a unisex size which means the shoulders and sleeves are HUGE!!! !/2 way down the add page, which I didn't see till I reordered the item, it has a sizing suggestion section which has totally different inches per size and those inches add up to a man's size. I now have a $50 robe that I need to give away to a person who looks like a women and is built like a man!!!! Don't know anyone like that right off hand! Sadly, it feels like a nice robe............

We got this for my daughter in law and she loves it. This has a fantastic feel to it and the fit is exactly what you'd expect. The plush-factor is top of the line and I've seen robes at 3 times the price that are less.My biggest concern was that there would be a lot of loss to it running it through the wash and a lot would end up in the lint catcher. I asked her and she's washed it once without very much at all. Nevertheless, as with anything like this, it would be advisable to wash it on it's own the first few times to make sure there's no bleed and other clothes won't get ruined in the process.Overall, my daughter in law is absolutely delighted with it and she's very hard to please. Therefore, we are yet another birthday down and I'm still in the good, so I'm happy too.
Well worth the cost, heavy, well-made, comfortable!

I'm tempted to give this 4 stars, because the ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is the weight! It's super heavy -- but that's also a sign of quality -- maybe I didn't know what Turkish Terry Cloth meant haha! I just didn't know it was a heavy duty robe. It has great pockets, and even though I have too much tummy, it wraps completely. I don't notice the weight when I'm wearing it, but when I lift it off the hook, wow! It is truly a beautifully made quality robe. I probably won't be wearing this in the summertime, but is SUPER warm and comfy on winter nights! Well worth the cost. This robe will last for YEARS. And I love that it doesn't have a hood.

The quality is poor and customer service worse.The first robe arrived without a belt, and instead of simply sending me the belt, I had to buy a second robe and return the first. When it finally arrived, it was very nice looking and comfortable, however within a couple of months, the seam at the shoulder had deteriorated, leaving a gaping, shredded hole. My previous robe lasted several years and had simply faded. I am small framed, so there was no sizing issue. Customer service asked for pictures, which we sent within 24 hours, and have not heard back in a month and a half.
Size seems to run a little large.

Very heavy Terry Cloth. Size was large so will not use it as I originally intended, at the gym after swimming. But, very cozy and the larger size is nice to curl up in on the couch. I ordered a 3X as I normally wear a 3X in tee shirts and blouses. Probably would have done better with a 2X but rather too large than too tight. Very nice product as far as I can tell. Have not washed it yet. Color was good, a little darker than the photo but I didn't really care that much about the color.Might order another one later on.
