I was looking for a 100% cotton robe. This is very plush and absorbent. The construction is well done. One caveat: wash it by itself the 1st time. It will shed initially (like velour does!) ... It will fluff up after the 1st washing. I wear a women's 2x, I ordered the large; the fit is roomy. I wish it came in more feminine colors.

I love this robe because it's cotton, but nice and thick like a towel. I've had synthetic material robes in the past, that while soft at first, became scratchy, stiff, and covered in pills after use and washings. The velvety texture on the outside of this cotton robe looks nice, plus it seems dense enough to prevent future pilling or loose strands catching on anything - plus it doesn't attract lint like microfiber would. The inside looks like a standard towel, but it's soft and absorbent.
