Perfect for covering my butt in the hospital!

Despite reading how other people found that the robe didn't fit well and blah, blah, blah, I decided to take a chance and order this robe (the price was along with being described as exactly what I was looking for hooked me). First off, I'm 8.5 months pregnant and was looking for a light weight robe (I live in very humid southern Louisiana, and will be having my baby in the second hottest month here) to cover my @$$ b/c the hospital gowns will not. When this robe arrived, it was just what I wanted. A thin, non-soft robe that I can wear without worrying about my butt being exposed for all hospital staff and visitors to see.To give you an idea of the fit, I ordered a Small/Medium, and no, it doesn't fit me like the little brunette model, but I was completely satisfied with the fit. I am 5'2", and pre-preggo weight is 115. I now weigh 323,947,530,730 pounds.... okay, really 146, and it fits really well. It's nice and roomy, and comes just below my mid-calf. I wanted to see how badly it would shrink, since it's a cotton and polyester blend, so I put it in the dryer (twice), and I didn't notice a difference in the size at all, so those who say that it shrunk beyond wear-ability are probably nuts. The fabric is not soft and plush like a normal bathrobe, which is what I wanted. I wanted something stand-offish and cool, not something that was going to wrap me like a layer of warm, soft, fuzzy, suffocation, and sweat-inducing clouds. This was perfect. It is very thin, but not so thin to see through. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to C.Y.A. =)I'll be buying my husband one shortly. And no, I wasn't bribed into saying something nice about the product by the shipper/manufacturer as one person claims that he was just to get a free pair of slippers. (Although that would be nice, wink!) This is genuinely a nice product, especially for the price. Also, I received the robe within 3-4 days of ordering it.

Great robe for warm climate - but heads up on shrinkage

This robe is great - with one heads up: it will shrink at least a size when washing, even in cold water and with lowest dryer heat. I purchased this robe for my guest room, with the hope that it will fit anyone I host, no matter his/her size. I am pleased with the robe's quality, softness, absorption, and fit. Also, the waffle weight is ideal for a warmer climate like New Orleans (terry robes would be uncomfortable most of the year here). However, I did notice that this robe shrunk a LOT between my initial try-on out of the box, and my immediate cold-water-delicate-wash-and-dry. For reference, it still fits me at 5'10"/ 165 lbs -- just not as amply as it did before I washed it. Bottom line: a great robe at a great price, just be mindful of the size.

Love it!

I've always liked the Waffle Kimono style robes but seldom find one in this longer length. In addition, this robe is SOFT! Most waffle robes are stiff and don't feel good against bare skin. This one is cuddly and smooth. Perfect for warmer weather - or for hot natured people.

Perfect in every way!!

Naturally, when buying this my biggest concern was fit, for after reading countless reviews for different ones of these, the most common theme in the negative reviews were that it didn't fit as pictured, or that it didn't fit as described for a particular height or weight. Not a problem with this robe, not at all!I'm a small guy, 5'6", 165 lbs, and wanted it to hang just below the knees, and hopefully right at the wrists for sleeve length. Done! I bought the "Small-Medium" (as opposed to the Small-Short") and it fits me precisely like that! Actually, even better, because the sleeves hang just a tad below the wrists, which allows me to roll them a time or two to get them just right, and even adjust as necessary depending on what I'm doing. Had it been cut too short and hung mid-forearm as pictured on this girl here, I'd not have been near as happy with it.Speaking of which, no, it doesn't fit as pictured. I'm sure that must be the larger version, and even then I'd be surprised if they cut the arms that short. I did notice that when clicking on the "Short" one, they picture a short one, but the same pic comes up when clicking either Small-Medium or Large...hmm.PS - They answered a question of mine about how they figure measurements for their description, whether overall or from the neck down, and it is indeed the latter, which for me was precisely as checked out before buying.Oh, for comfort, I like this because it's lightweight so cooler, just what I wanted. I'll admit, that while it's not what I'd call rough, the material could be a touch softer to the skin. However, it's my suspicion that softness would bring warmth, so I'll count my blessings that I can wear this thing in the summer as a morning robe and be mighty comfy and cool.Especially for this price, we have ourselves a winner!!

Light weight but the stitching on the outside of robe snags easily

Liked that it was light weight but the stitching on the outside to make the design snags so easily like when I'm brushing my hair out of the shower gets caught on my brush! So I feel like that is a cheap design flaw. I would not buy this again.

They are comfortable but thin

Laura

I wanted to get robes for the family to use with our new hot tub, these are okay but are pretty thin. Almost see thru but for the price they are fine. They do help you dry off and seem to be built well. I'd probably buy again, just wish they were slightly thicker.Update from 3 stars to 5 December 10, 2013I've now owned these for 10 months and they are holding up great even with regular use and cleanings. During this time of year I still wish they were thicker but during the spring, summer and fall they were perfect. Would definitely buy again.

Purchased four of these for my husband and myself 25 years ago. Just now replacing them! Fantastic product. Washed at least weekly and held up for 25 years. Very little shrinkage. Generously sized. Soft and comfortable. Large, roomy pockets. Fantastic product.
