Truly Surprised With Just How Good This Dess Looks On Me

I am 5'3" tall, a size 36DD bust and 148lbs and I ordered this dress in a size XL. Since blush is the preferred neutral color in fashion this season, I really wanted something flattering that I could wear out spur of the moment and be totally in style. I have to tell you that when I took it out of the package, I was really worried that I had made a mistake. The material and the look of it on the hanger made me think this was going to look like a bridesmaid dress rather than the simple cocktail dress I was hoping for. I can only tell you that it looks amazing when you put it on - especially if you are big busted! I didn't make a mistake, I totally hit the jackpot.The crossover v-neck design actually flatter my larger chest without being too tight or too revealing. can't tell you how many times I've had to pin a dress because the V was way too revealing or because the top of the dress would not stay closed. This fit perfectly. I could move around and bend over without being self conscious in the least. The empire waistline was excellent for disguising my stomach area as it is no longer as flat as it once used to be. The bottom hem ended just below my knees and the material of the dress is thick enough that you won't need to wear a separate slip with it. The cap sleeves helped keep me cool and comfortable the entire time I was wearing the dress. The dress does have a back zipper that extends down past the waistline, so pay careful attention to the measurement chart to make sure it fits around the waist and hips for you. I am actually about 2 inches larger when I measured than the chart allows for and it fit me perfectly.When you get the dress, it will most likely be a bit wrinkled because of the nature of the material when it's folded for shipping. To solve this I simply washed my dress in the washer in a separate wash bag made for delicates. I did tumble it until it was just almost dry and then immediately removed it and hung to dry the rest of the way. That way I did not have to iron the dress and still had no wrinkles when I went to wear it. There was no shrinkage or loose sewing from washing it this way, but I did keep it on the delicate cycle with extra protection in the bag. I was truly pleasantly surprised just how well this dress met my expectations.

I admit that I took a bit of a gamble on this- I knew there was the chance it could be tight in the bust... and it was even tighter than expected. While I could wear it if I HAD to, I would've had to wear something to cover my cleavage... it wasn't even cleavage at that point, it was a good portion of my actual bra.The material is very shiny and arrived quite wrinkly. If the wrinkles were removed, I'd be curious to see how it would travel (for instance, if you were wearing this as a bridesmaid or anything... could you easily travel without the dress becoming a giant mess of wrinkles?). However, since I sent it back, I never went through the hassle of removing the wrinkles. The green was quite pretty- it was a shiny seafoam.The fabric doesn't have much/any stretch, so definitely keep that in mind if you think that one (or more) area of measurement might be tight on you.
Fun with or without petticoat

Love this dress; summer, flirty, playful -- works great as is (summer dress) or with a petticoat (dance dress). Comes out of the bag wrinkled, so build in time between order and outing to de-wrinkle it.

I was imagining a light and flirty satiny dress, but the material is heavy and not at all flattering on the body.

Bought it for a summer Texas wedding, material was heavy.Pleating was wide so it was huge from the waist down.

I love the color of this dress. It is a beautiful shade of green. It fits well bit I will need to wear some type of camisole as it is very revealing for a larger chested lady.
