1940s charm

I love the cut and the color. The skirt an A line, not a full swing skirt by any means. Perfect for a 1940s look.

Better than expected

By seeing the other review, I was skeptical but brave enough to buy/try this dress anyway. It is so pretty and the color is exactly as pictured. A nice deep forest/dark emerald green? As the other review stated, it is NOT flared at the skirt at all. Much more straight fit. Which doesn't look bad. I kind of look like a vintage secretary hehe. (will update with pictures later).I am a 5'7" lady with a 41-42" (C cup) bust, 35" waist (baby fat), and 44" hips. I always buy XL. (despite that their size chart has changed. Apparently, my measurements are NOW considered XXL. And the XL is NOW a 41" bust and 32" waist. Despite this change, I went ahead and bought my XL anyway. Guess what, it still fits like a glove. So I don't know what is going on with their size chart but I would suggest buying your size per your measurements but also realize it seems these dresses are extremely stretchy!)Verdict: Not flared at skirt as pictured but that can be a perk depending on the person. It worked for me. Colors exactly as pictured. Very stretchy and comfy. A tad too low cut in the breast area, my bra ends up showing (i will have to mend that for church). I have worn these GownTown dresses in hot weather and cold and very comfortable in both climates. Breathable to a point as to not be to hot or too cold. Sewn very well. DO NOT MACHINE WASH. Wash by hand in cold water and hang to dry. Steam wrinkles out. DO NOY IRON. Fabreeze if washing isn't needed. 5/5 stars. I will always buy GownTown dresses! <3

My weight is 212 and I am 5'7 1/2. In the picture the it is not revealed that there is cease and upon putting on the dress the fold does not lay correctly. I ordered a size 2x and it does not look appealing on me. The dress does offer nice material.

NOT fit and flare

I love, love Gowntown and my closet is full of these wonderful dresses. I will say I feel they missed the mark this time. On the pic, this dress appears to be a fit and flare (which is a wonderful fit if you are hippy like me); however as soon as I took it out the pack, I could tell it was definitely more fit, less flare. I wouldn't recommend if you are hippy..
