Pin-up perfection! Sizing is a little off..

I wore this dress with a red petticoat for a pin-up contest. I got tons of compliments, my only problem with it is the size. I got a large because I am busty. I am a size 6 and a 36DD. It ended up fitting right in the busts, but being too big in the waist. It also had some white marks on it where the polka dots must have bleed. It is a heavy costume material. Overall, it is a nice dress for the price, and it's made in the USA, which is very rare.

First, I love this dress. The yellow is mustard, not as bright as the photo they post, but reading other reviews is why I purchased the yellow.Second, it fits very well, I ordered a large for the reviews worried me. I am 5'5" and about 140lbs; measurements of importance are bust of 36C and waist is 29". This fits very well and is not too tight; however I do wish the bust was tighter so I could go without wearing a bra. It's not too tight and if I were to lose weight it would be a little too loose around the waist.Third, it is shorter than most dresses the replicate this era. I myself will probably have to wear leggings under it until it warms up outside. I can see myself wearing this in the summer without leggings however, it's cold!Finally, the straps do remove, great, however I will be sewing a small stich in them as I don't like the button wholes showing the little bit they do when the straps are pulled taunt. Besides that, perfectly made.I may purchase the other colors! Love it!

I ordered this to use for a Minnie Mouse Halloween costume and it was perfect, I must have gotten a million compliments. Would definitely recommend getting a petticoat to fluff it out a bit, I am wearing one in the picture, but even without one itâs a really cute dress! I would have rated this 5 stars, but something about the way the bust area is sewn caused the dress to kind of pull up and have some loose fabric on the upper sides near my armpits, I kept having to readjust it to keep it flat on my body. Overall still very satisfied with the purchase though, definitely got my moneyâs worth!

I love this dress! It has enough support at the bust to wear without a bra, and the halter strap is comfortable and conveniently removable. The fit and flare design is incredibly flattering and the full fkirt is perfect for twirling! I feel like a 50s pinup in this dress, and always receive a lot of compliments when I wear it. It *does* run slightly small, especially in the chest. I am a size 10 with a 36D bust, and the fit is very snug. But, it isn't uncomfortable, and the dress is great quality as well.

I was very worried when I ordered this dress, because of all the mixed reviews. But, I ordered it in a size up (as I was told to do) and it fits like a dream! I got it to wear to a Murder Mystery Party and it was a huge hit! There were only two issues I had with the dress. As all the reviews said, the straps were too long, but I just cut another hole above the tightest one and it worked out fine. Also, the zipper doesn't stay zipped, I didn't have time to put in a hook and eye, but that would fix it nicely. Other than those two things, this dress was perfect. I am 26, 4'11, 125lbs with a 36B bust, and I ordered the large. This was great because, it worked great for my costume, but I can also wear this many other places! I highly recommend this dress! I might get it in a few different colors!
I need one in every color!

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. The fabric is thick and sturdy. it fit like a dream. I'm 4'11, 124..usually wear about a 3. This is the best fitting pin up style dress I own.

I was so unsure on what size to get this in, and the reviews with measurments really helped, so I figured I should leave mine to help others. I am 5'7", 135lbs, 37" chest, 30" waist, and 38" hips. I got the size large. It has plenty of room for a larger chest. I will probably wear a push up bra with it, just to fill it out a bit, but I could get away with no bra if I wanted to. It is a little shorter than I thought it would be. It goes about 6 inches above my knees. I bought a petticoat to go under it, but it isn't here yet, so I can't say how it will look with one under it. I think I probably could have gotten away with a medium, but it might have been a bit snug on the waist, so I am happy with the large. Overall, I very satisfied with the dress. :)

According to what others have told me (and despite how I feel about myself most days) I'm not actually fat, or at the very least, not big enough that this dress would be an issue. Like it says in the description, this dress fits a 33-35" chest and 29" waist in a large. I'm usually a size 6 and my measurements are 36-30-38. Now, I've worn outfits that were a couple inches bigger/smaller than my measurements in the past with no problems, but I guess this dress isn't as forgiving.I could get the dress on after struggling with the zipper for several minutes (zipper's on the back of the dress), but the zipper wouldn't stay up. I ended up sewing a small clasp onto the dress, right above the zipper. Once I did that, the dress was a breeze to get on and the zipper stayed up.Like I said, the dress is adorable, but either the measurements are very unforgiving or the zipper on mine had issues.
