This is a lovely dress but of moderate quality (serged seams, vey thin woven cotton material). I would expect to pay about $40 a dress of this quality.The neckline came low for my comfort but I ordered up after looking at reviews. Usually I am a size 6 but I got a size 8 - a 6 probably would have been perfect but it was easy to just tie it tighter. My bust is 34 and waist is 27.I can't believe I spent $75 (including shipping) on this dress.I think this style would flatter any body type!
Undoubtedly worth it !!!

I bought both dresses; not only am I ecstatic about the fact that the items were delivered literally one month ahead! But also, the dresses fit like an absolute dream and the fabric is perfect! They are just as described! I want to thank you for selling me these great items! I will return for the same dress in emerald!!! I am very happy!

I canât give zero stars, so let me describe whatâs wrong with this item: Too small (bought 20 hoping for roomy, instead feels a snug 16); Fabric is so thin itâs essentially see-through and outrageously cheap-looking (like easy-crease budget lining material, not quality dress fabric); Finishing is average; Styling would be OK with fabric three-times the weight. Staggeringly disappointing, had to panic-shop for an alternative. I use Amazon because I donât always have time to physically shop, and alas I never got the time to physically return this...

As others have said, this dress looks nothing just out of the bag. However, after an iron and a petticoat, it's transformed. I love it. It's my first dress of this style but I don't think it'll be my last. If ,like me, you're not sure because it's not a high street name, or because it'll take a bit of work to 'glam it up' - don't worry, go for it. You won't be disappointed!

I love the 40's look and got this dress and wore it with the black crinoline underneath. I walked in the room and "all eyes were on me!!!" This dress is nostalgic and made good. It took a while to get because it came from the U.K. I didn't know that. However, it was worth the wait, and I want more in different colors.

This dress looks nothing out of the bag but when pressed with flora petticoat it is transformed into a lovely plain party dress. You do need to buy a larger size as the arms can be quite tight. With a bit of bling It can look great.

I brought this exquisite dress to wear at a friend's wedding as I was singing for her as she walked down the isle. The theme was vintage and as a fuller figured woman, I didn't want to look like a balloon. The dress is a perfect and complimentary fit. I love the colour and the cut is exquisite. I actually want to purchase another one. It went exceptionally well with my black underskirt, I really felt as though I had captured the essence of the theme with this beautiful piece. I accessorised with a gold vintage brooch, gold sandals, and a teal corsage. The day was magical and so was my dress. Thank you so much!!!!!!

I ordered this dress in early November for an event scheduled in early December. At the same time I ordered this, I also ordered a petticoat on this site. Both shipped almost immediately, but I received the petticoat (from China) almost 3 weeks earlier than I received this dress! And, since the shipments were from overseas vendors, I was unable to track my package. This led to considerable anxiety. Finally, the dress arrived - just 4 days before I was planning to wear it!The dress itself is well-made, from a comfortable cotton sateen. It fits beautifully and it's very figure-friendly. The neckline is quite deeply cut - wear a camisole unless you're planning to show considerable cleavage. The thin fabric is wrinkly when it arrives; some of those wrinkles will hang out, but I plan to steam the dress before my event. There were a number of loose threads - not of the same color as the dress - these just need to be brushed off. The color of the dress is as depicted - on the blue side of gunmetal grey. This will allow me to wear the dress with black shoes/accessories for a somber event, or (as I have planned) with pops of red for a festive event!

Love, love, love!!!! So I am very tall, almost 6 ft, and a bit pear shaped. Typically I wear a 14 in U.S. Sizes and they sent a 20. PERFECT fit! So definitely do not judge this gem in the package- take it out, iron it as directed and THEN try it on. If you don't smile and spin in front of the mirror then your inner child has most assuredly fled! I added a petty coat for fun and wow! I had so many compliments at a wedding where two of my rockabilly friends wed- That is a hard crowd to wow in terms of dresses so this dress is a statement!

The dress fit beautifully and caused more than the anticipated jaw dropping. I started with an enhancing corset and red trimmed pettiskirt foundation, a 50s style hair twist and some simple boots which could hold up to the 6 inches of rain predicted for the night. I was delighted with how quickly the dress arrived. My only disappointment was the belt wasn't as pretty as in the picture. The dress was also more of a red-purple than red.

For the money no-one can complain. The dress is lovely especially worm with a petticoat. I cannot wait to wear it on my special occasion.I had to telephone the company to personally tell the what I thought.I am a dress size 16 and ordered the 18. It was still a bit tight across the back and arms for me but then again I m broad backed and have always had arms that are big for my size even when thin!! So after talking to the owners of the company I ordered a 20.If you do not have a large budget and don't want to stand out from the crowd then have a look.

Love this dress! It's well made and is a really beautiful green. Works well as a dress for attending a wedding or one for the office. I received lots of compliments on it. Only thing to be ware of is the cut if you have narrow shoulders like me or you are smaller chested you may need to have the dress adjusted or wear something underneath. Although this is no different to the way many dresses are cut.

I'm probably just the wrong shape & I cant blame the dress for that. Anyone with a bit of a belly like me....I'd avoid this frock. Even the suckie in knickers don't help

As I'm a size 16 -I read some reviews and noticed the popular concensus was that; I should order a size bigger than I am. Instead of an 18 I thought I would get a 20 just for comfort sake and airing on the side of caution. When I received it i found that it fit me -but the arms may be a tad tight for more ample ladies who are looking to buy this. Im wearing mine in October so it's given me a push to go to the gym :)

thin material, almost cthru but it looks ok when on. I ordered a size bigger than i normally wear but i should have sticked to my regular size as this dress is buttoned kinda like a shirt would, is not a pullover type of dress. the front part in the left side kinda hangs weird on the dress when on me...the v neck is revealing, ill have to pin it down. the sleeves are weird on me they are loose on the shoulder and tight around the elbow( i shall have it changed into short sleeves).also at height 5'7 the dress is a bit long for what i wanted so ill have to shorten it a bit too.delivery was great, arrived one day earlier than expected

Great dress. Looks classy. Had to get it ironed by a professional for the first wear as the creases were deep.After washing the dress, the fabric is in good condition. No colour loss. Needs to be ironed properly after washes.

Very flattering, if curvy order up one size to fit on arms. Totally rocks with a petticoat but works fine without. Needs a mid-heeled shoe & some glitz to set it off. Although the fabric is quite basic (light cotton) I felt utterly glamorous wearing it & got loads of compliments. Ordering again in another colour, I love it so much.

Thanks to reviews warning about the small sizing of this dress I ordered an 18 (I'm normally a large 14 or small 16) and it's perfect. As others have pointed out, it looks a bit meh when you get it out of its package but, when worn, it transforms into a majorly flattering frock. And, hallelujah, it has arms. Do wear it with a 26" flouncy petticoat to get the full effect. I'm getting another one in teal.

Being on the large side (with a big bust) I tend to go for the 'character' look when dressing up as it fits my personality. This dress is awesome, matches perfectly with some burgundy shoes I bought from Clarks and was a great 50s-inspired look. I didn't bother with a petticoat as it's really full, and I did wear a vest underneath for modesty's sake... just waiting for pay day now as I'd like at least one more in another colour!My only complaint would be that due to the nature of the material it does crease if you've a two hour drive to the wedding venue befre the ceremony, but to be honest it was the back so I didn't care!
