Pleats disappear, but overall fit is good.

The overall dress is fine. The fit was as expected. I generally wear a 14-16, and I bought this in an XL and it fit just right. (5'6", 180 lbs, 42C) Pictured in Ginger.I have a feeling no matter what size you buy, and what size you are, the pleats on the bust are not going to look the way they're pictured from the seller. Everything stretches out in a way, even if it's not tight, so don't count on the pleats staying put. The stitch holding the two layers of the bust together is small, so it's worth snipping that, smoothing out the pleats, then re-stitching it so it will lay nicely at least. Given the work I'm going to have to do to make this look okay, I feel overcharged. But I had a hard time finding a yellow dress that wasn't a shade that looks funny on me, so I'm sticking with it.There is some gapping around the neckline, but I'm hoping to fix that when I rework the whole front of the dress to eliminate the pleats. I'll be sad to see those pleats go -- they're so cute in the pic! If you've got the skills and the time I'm sure you can iron the pleats into shape then sew them in place permanently. Worth a try. :)

I picked the one with red cherries on black and it is very cute!! ... But... I am 6 ft tall and I weigh 200 lbs. I ordered the 2XL. I wear a size 14, and the breasts are like for 16-18, so, .. too large. Too much room, and I am trying to diminish that by putting a large brooch in the middle - not so easy to do. The waist is slightly large and so is the skirt, to the point that I do not need my husband's help or anyone's help - it has a long zipper in the back that I did not need to undo, I just pulled the dress on me. It is made of satin which is really nice! I hope that helps you, ladies. I am tall but not very busty. Wearing a 36C. This is for a woman with 38D or 38DD... My hubby likes me in it anyway, so... no problem. It is great for the summer and lightweight...

Iâm a size 10-12 depending. XL fits comfortably. I might have been able to size down but I danced all night at a wedding in the XL and was glad it wasnât to tight. Very flattering. Assume you get what you pay for with a $30 dress as far as quality. Itâs not great fabric and itâs not lined. But Iâve worn it twice and itâs held together well. Received many complements. Buying it in 2 more colors. Looks good with a petticoat for formal attire but still nice with out for a more casual day event.

Absolutely love it- the fabric is lovely and it is extremely flattering. I am a size 16-18 UK so I bought in 3XL and it fits perfectly. Would definitely buy it again.

I'm 5' 3", 112 lbs. The small was a flattering , fitted look that yielded lots of comments on my 56yo body as I was directing an outside October wedding. The length was slightly above my knee. The "retro" look was quite nice with black, kitten heels & pearls. It is well made & arrived quickly, packaged well. I will use a black lace cami when wearing it to church as it's a little too décolletage for that, but for the wedding was just fine.

This is a lovely dress! The material is thick and non see-through, and it drapes very nicely. Go two sizes up from your normal US size. I normally wear an XL or 16-18 and the 3X fit perfectly. Giving 4 stars and returning only because I couldn't zip it up by myself no matter how hard I tried! The zipper needs a hole in the end to loop something through to assist with zipping.

Read the fine print!!! I read almost everything, including all of the reviews. I'm normally a size 12/14 with a 36DDD chest. Based on reviews and size charts, I ordered a 2X. The chest was extremely loose. I also apparently missed the small bit in the description that said the cherry print dress was satin. All of the pictures show a cotton dress. The chest fits extremely weird in the satin, but because the top was so loose, I couldn't let the mid stitch out for it to be more flattering. I'm 5'7" and this dress hit me at my lower calf. I'm really disappointed to have to return this.
Pattern is perfect, nice color and very soft!

Okay, So I bought this for Halloween drag, My bf is a Queen so I was intending to get this a few sizes too big for me and tack it in as needed so he could wear it after... Yeah it fit me perfectly in the waist and was the perfect length with the two petticoats I put under it... I was shocked. I'm 6'2" wear a medium shirt and 30/32 jeans. I bought a 3X so any Queens about my size, be sure to pad the chest because I didn't and it was a bit saggy but this will work!

I love this style! Beautiful, well made and fits nicely. The top however is loose and most of the 6 dresses I bought need an additional stitch in the top to hold it closed otherwise your undergarments are exposed from the side view. One dress, the white with cherries was NOT as advertised. The material was a satin material and NOT 98% cotton and 2% spandex blend. And only that one didn't fit-way too tight; maybe because of the different material?

Bought this dress in a large, currently inbetween 12-14 size. Fits perfectly everywhere except the chest. Not particularly full chested so probably not an issue for most and can be solve with a more padded bra so not fussed at all. Arrived in good time, it's material is a really stiff cotton which is steam only. Looks awesome on, especially with a petticoat. Can't wait to wear!!

Really lovely quality and lovely colour! I wore this for my 21st birthday, with a small petticoat underneath (a normal petticoat you would wear under a 50s style dress may be too big to fit under) and it was perfect! Ever so slightly too big, so order down a size if you're stuck between sizes!

Attention produit qui taille relativement grand au niveau de la poitrine (je fais pourtant un 105E). La robe baillait et ça ne faisait pas joli, je l'ai renvoyée.Néanmoins le tissu était de bonne qualité, la couleur gingembre est plus foncée que sur la photo. Je me demande si le tissu ne finirait pas froissé lorsqu'on est assis trop longtemps. L'ensemble n'en reste pas moins de belle facture tant pour la qualité que la forme. Le décolleté était très joli, dommage que ça baillait sur moi. (attention pour celles qui auraient un peu de bidou, la taille marquée tombe un peu bas)

La robe est magnifique. Le motif est très gai. Le tissus est de belle qualité et tombe bien. Contrairement à dâautres robes qui sont simplement en coton, celle ci est satinée. Elle est très agréable à porter et la coupe est parfaite.Aucune hésitation à avoir.On peut lâaccessoiriser avec une ceinture et un jupon, mais elle est déjà très belle sans.Jâessaye de me raisonner pour ne pas en acheter une de chaque couleur !!!
