Much Faster Shipping than Expected!! Estimated Dec 24-Jan 6, received on Dec 11th! :) I love this dress! I recommend going up a size, as the reviews suggested. I have a curvy hourglass shape (w/ small waist) & this dress surprisingly Flatters my body & fit perfect!! A thin material & requires nude undergarments (white dress), but I appreciate it being light. I wore this for my nursing pinning ceremony!

I read previous reviews, thank you to everyone who explained getting a bigger size. I'm a size 8 and ordered a 12. It fit great. Wore it for a church Xmas party with a black quarter sleeve under. Got a lot of compliments on it! Comes wrinkled of course so give yourself time to iron it. It came it came over 10 days early for me which was a great surprise :)

I bought this dress for my mom to wear to my wedding. it is a gorgeous cranberry shade of red. I bought her a size 16 and it fit perfectly. She is normally a 12 or 14 so make sure to order a size larger. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the fabric is a bit thin. Not that this is a bad thing for a summer dress, but for the price it seems like the fabric should be a little better quality.

I read people complaining about the thin cotton and that you have to iron it. What do you think they did in the 50's. It's a 50's dress! Mostly all fabrics in the 50's were all natural and better quality because of the natural fabrics. And natural fabrics are always a better buy. These days 100% cotton in a fabulous dress would cost you a mint. Come on - it's not man made material!. Any dress can look great with the correct undergarments. I see so many women wear a great outfit but without the proper undergarments; which does nothng for the outfit. I have the white and the red Rockabilly. I don't even see my bra in the white! So how thin can it be if I can't see my bra. Get the right undergarment as all women should!Carla

I'm 5'9", hourglass shape, size 16/18, 36 G. The bust line could be a little longer but it works. It was a little snug right under bust line but I moved the inside button over and that worked. I have larger arms an the cap sleeves do nothing for them so I just tuck them under. The green is what caught my eye from the get go and it is dead on. LOOOOOVE the green color. It is a thinner material but I like it because it is cool for hot weather. It does wrinkle easy but still looks very nice.

I used my waist size (18) as my guide because I'd read other reviewers say there was no "give" in the fabric, very true, and the only two fastenings are at the waist.My bust size is a little fuller than my waist size but because the dress is a wrap style it still worked fine.It was worn at a formal Burns Night and it fitted in well among all the other cocktail dresses.The cotton is fairly thin but I wouldn't want it any thicker.I bought in black, and since we were dancing Scottish country dance, the seams were thoroughly tested, they survived a lot of dancing! I've washed it twice now and the colour has not faded.I am utterly delighted with this dress and am toying with getting it in red!

I'm a UK12 and ordered the 12 - fits perfectly in the shoulders, bust (36C here) and around the waist. It does plunge quite deeply but that's fine - wore it to a charity ball with a petticoat and got lots of compliments!Really nice to find this type of dress that's 100% cotton amidst all the sweat-inducing polyester. The only downside? It needs a good steam iron as it comes flat-packed. Paired with a petticoat and some bling and it really looks fab!I also have the same dress in dark green because all the colours are so lovely :)

Wore this to a big event. I bought crinolines to round out the vintage 1950s look, but they made it a bit over the top. It's lovely as is. I am plus sized, and 4 months pregnant, and it looked wonderful.One drawback: it wrinkles, badly, in the car! I recommend you travel with it in a bag, and change there.

I bought 3 dresses, 1 fitted perfectly well but the other two including this one did not. So I sent them back and requested a big size. The seller was very nice and kindly changed those for me. However I only give it three stars because she sent a big size with another belt which I think did not do justice to the dress. Instead of having a purple belt which normally comes with the dress as shown on the picture, I got a black and white string. I am flexible and understand that sometimes somebody can run out of material but it would have been great to include a note to apologise about that. I thought the alternative replacement did not match at all and still have to pay for the full price. NB. The first dress which I sent back size 12 had the purple belt.

Very flattering dress bought this for a 50s fancy dress party but am pleased as it would be a great every occasion dress so money well spent. Looked great once it had been ironed and hung up. I ordered a size bigger as I have bigger boobs and it was a great fit.I would buy this in a different colour too.

I received this dress today. I am normally a size 18-20 but gave birth 3 months ago and so opted for the size 22. I admit it is a little snug, although the buttons do fasten. The colour is beautiful and my husband thought is was gorgeous. I already owned a petticoat to wear underneath but it looks great without it. I will be ordering the green version also. One word of caution, the v neck is very deep and none of my bras are low enough to not be seen so will either have to wear a vest underneath or perhaps a modesty panel attached to my bra straps.

I have now purchased both the back with 3/4 sleeves and the purple with cap sleeves. The black I bought before Christmas in a smaller size as I wanted to show off my assets and the purple is more for summer and occasional work wear so I needed a little more modesty.Both dresses are beautiful, well made, well fitting and excellent value for money for 50's style. You may need to order a size larger as these are clearly based on 50's patterns which are less generous than modern ones.I love these dresses and hope to add some other colours to my collection as finances allow. I've been complimented on my black dress and friends are eagerly awaiting the premier of the purple.Jane, the seller is amazing and keeps in touch, letting me know if there will be a delay and when she has dispatched items.A first class service from this newish company who I hope will be successful in their ventures.

The dress was not anything like the photo. I was expecting something breathtaking for a family wedding and I was extremely disappointed when I opened the plastic bag I got it in. I'm never going to shop here again. 2 dressed bought and both were nothing like the photos and looked badly put together. PS: I had to give 1 star in order to submit review... really No stars is the review.

can't wait to wear it for wedding. I was expected fabric more thick and heavy..but all in all it is more summer dress than coctail dress...whatever, I love it anyway :)Inspite of comments I ordered my size and fits good...if I go for one size up, top would be loose....but it depends. I am 14-16 UK, 38D and 182cm...if it helps someone :)

Maybe when i read summer dress i didnt fully understand just how flimsy it was. Its a thin cotton dress. You will need an underslip. The button fell off when i wore it so quality isnt that good. I was desperate for a white dress when i ordered it. Its not worth the price. Looked ok on though..

Fits very snug,but that's cotton for you.lovely dress which I can wear for multiple occasions. Seller very quick to respond and very helpful.only reason there is not 5 stars is that it could have literally a tiny bit more material for button loops but this is my personal view, the dress is fabulous.

Beautiful dress but way too small. I ordered a size bigger so there would be plenty of material in skirt for over petticoat but although I could just fasten waist the top hardly covered my bust. I returned it at my cost & they sent me larger size but that too wasn't big enough.

Love the shape, cut and the sizing is fab, however the fabric is terrible! It's a real shame as otherwise would be amazing. It's a really flattering dress but fabric very flimsy almost see through and looks really cheap! It's definitely not worth the money. The service from the seller was very goo though hence the third star.

Definitely get a size up from what you would normally fit (though the size guide is accurate if you actually measure yourself) a it's not got much give. Wore it for couple of weddings this summer and love it!

I took the advise of others from reading the reviews, go up a size. I did just that and it's a good fit. This dress can be warn with or without an under skirt. Would def. buy from this company again
