Beautiful and well made âMother of the Groomâ Dress

After going to many local bridal shops, I was unable to find something that I liked for my sonâs wedding and that looked like a âmother of the groomâ dress (not grandmother). I found this dress on Amazon and was hesitant to purchase due to time constraints and sizing. I followed the guidelines for measurements and was in between sizes so I ordered up a size. I did pay extra for expedited shipping to make sure I would have time for a plan B. The dress was very well made and fit me perfectly with a little room to spare. I am 5â10â and the length was perfect to wear with heels. The top had lots of support and boning unlike another dress I purchased. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the lace did not match up on the front or back. The front wasnât noticeable but I added a picture to show the back. Luckily I knew a seamstress that was able to fix it. I received lots of compliments on the color and style. The color was true royal blue. In the pictures, you canât see but there is lots of blue and crystal sequins in the bodice that sparkle and shine in the light. Beautiful gown! Just follow the measuring guidelines.

I purchased this beautiful dress for my sonâs wedding. I absolutely love the quality of the dress...the lace is beautiful, color is true champagne, and the skirt is graceful. The length needed to be shortened and the zipper replaced (I believe this was due to a tightness in the back). Buyers must know this dress comes from China, and those ladies skeletal frames are smaller than American ladies, so go up a size when you order.

The craftsmanship was beyond my expectation. There were finishing details on the inside where no one could see.The bead work is stunning. This was a good purchase.
sleeves

This dress is beautiful, but the sleeves are so tight I could barely get my arms in them and I do have bruises from getting them out. The rest of the dress fit ok. I have a seamstress and we are going to remove the sleeves and us the appliques to make them flutter down the arm. Hope it works..
Runs really small and you can't return it without paying the same amount in postage.

I ordered this dress for my son's wedding in May. I even paid extra for it to arrive early-I knew I would need it shortened. Ordered a size 14, normally wear a 10. TOO SMALL in the top! I couldn't get it zipped up. There was a 4 inch gap!Some reviewers said the dress could be altered, some said no way. The company's response, as opposed to returning the dress, was to try to get it altered as they have allowed 3-5 cm throughout for alterations. There is no way that would for me.I would not recommend purchasing without going 4 sizes above your regular size. On to David's Bridal I guess and try to sell the dress via online marketplaces. Disappointed.

I'm 5'2 120lbs. I bought my exact same US size in dresses. A size 2.This was a bridesmaid dress for a wedding. I was one of the 5 bridesmaids. We all bought the same dress all ranging in age and sizes from small to XXL. This dress complimented every single one of us. It looked great in all shapes and sizes.We all had the same opinions. The dress is absolutely gorgeous and simple. The picture does not show the true elegance of this dress. Very pretty. Perfect for prom or cruise line dinner, fancy restauraunt or a wedding.However, all 5 of us bridesmaids had to get the dress length shortened. I had to get 3 inches taken off of my dress. We also all agreed that once we got it hemmed the only issue was the chest piece. It was tight fitting. It's tighter up top and then loose to the floor. I'm glad I bought the size I did because the chest would of been to big in the next size up. The chest WAS tight but nothing unbearable. I wouldnt mind waring the dress again.

I was surprised at the loose fit on the top as this has never once been an issue for me in the past. The dress is not what I would call a high quality product, but it certainly was a lovely dress for my daughters wedding. The lace was slightly off center in places and the beads were low quality, however that being said I received numerous compliments on how lovely it looked. I think the small details are really only visible when you examine the dress at a very close range. The sheer fabric at the top needs lining but that was easy to sew in myself. There are stays along the bodice, but after wearing the dress for the entire day I was not once ever uncomfortable in anyway. This dress allowed me to look elegant and still move around and do all that I needed to do as Mother-of-the-Bride. After a 14 hour day the dress still looked nice. What more can you ask for in a formal dress? I would highly recommend this dress.

Poor workmanship. The lace trim on the front of the neck was pieced together. Very noticeable. Not suitable to wear to my sons wedding.Dress was just under $100. Shipping about $50. then another COD at the door. They said I could return the item to China. Shipping would be $125.!!!!Tha would be $200. in shipping charges. VERY disappointed.
