The top was very tight on my 38D boobs so the waistline hit more empire waist... still very pretty.I added a tool underskirt in black which looked awesome, very cupcake-esque, but I returned it bc I ended up not going to the event I had bought it for.HEADS UP: the white at the bottom was off-white on mine while the tool was pure white. Still looked good on, but just FYI.
I recommend buying 2 sizes up from what you are

High Waist, Small Top

Pretty dress, cheaper fabric. Iâm 5â6, 140lbs, 34b, ordered a small hoping it would fit my smaller waist, but the top portion of dress was too small thru bust and arm holes. Also, waist of dress began at bottom of my rib cage, which meant tulle skirt started to flair out before it even hit my natural waist making me look thicker in the middle. It was like a baby doll dress. Length was appropriate, hitting just at/below knee. It was pretty, but it must go back.

I purchased this dress (a couple of sizes larger than I needed) for a Motown show. The dress was absolutely beautiful onstage... especially since the men in the group (Smokey Robinson and the Miracles) wore black tuxedo pants with white jackets. I was looking for a black and white dress that was elegant for Claudette Robinson (Smokey's ex-wife) and knew this dress was perfect. The dress received more compliments than the evening gowns and other dresses I purchased. The quality was great, the lace - exquisite! FYI... it looked fuller after I purchased a petticoat/crinoline slip.

Not really what I expected. I ordered it for a evening wedding. You have to order the petticoat separately. It looks on the inexpensive side and in my opinion the white slip should be a different color. It looks more elegant in the picture but once I received the package I decided not to wear it to the wedding.
