Cute dress, but...

I am so sad this dress didn't work for me because it's cute and it has pockets! I'm 5'10" and it's simply too shortwaisted for me. The waist of the bodice was not high enough to be an empire and too high to let the skirt flare like a fit-and-flare dress should and pockets were awkwardly high on my hips--I had to really bend my arms to put my hands in the pockets. Similarly, I will say that if you are heavily endowed or the opposite problem in which you may be blessed with the ability to sometimes go braless, the neckline is a little tricky. I'm a C cup and I feel like if I were any larger there, I'd be spilling out, and if I were any smaller it may have been noticeably too big in the bust area. If you're petite or of average height and have a similar bust size, I bet it would look really cute. The fabric underneath the lace was opaque and the lace overlay was a nice weight, not cheap and flimsy. It just doesn't work for my body type.

This dress has a high quality construction and is beautiful. Like other reviewers have said, it does feel heavier than I expected which is not necessarily bad. However, I ended up returning the dress because it is too revealing for me as a large breasted woman. I would have needed to add a liner to the v-neck to feel comfortable.

The lace pattern is nice, but makes the dress look and feel heavy. It had to go back, my daughter didn't like the fit, neither did I. Maybe, it'll look nicer on a tall and slender person.
