Affordable flapper costume

I bought this costume set for a Roaring 20s themed New Year's Eve party. The dress itself was very pretty and well made. I got compliments on it all night. However, be forewarned that it does run small. I typically wear a size L, but I ordered up a size based on the online reviews, and I was so glad I did because even the XL fit snugly. The fringe at the bottom of the dress shed a little bit but not too badly. I was disappointed in some of the accessories though. The gloves were only about elbow length and my arms are short, and one of the seams tore as I was trying them on, so I ended up tossing them. The headband was tight even though my head is small, and the plastic broach was tacky and had hot glue string and residue around the jewel, plus it had a gold frame which didn't match the silver dress. I ended up replacing it with a prettier one from Party City. The only other complaint is that the necklace was a little warped and never smoothed out as I would have liked. The earrings, bracelet, fishnet stockings and cigarette holder were decent quality and paired well with the dress. All in all, I was satisfied with the products I received for the price point, but definitely take the sizing into consideration if you are ordering this costume, and understand that the accessories are not the greatest.

The dress looks great and the accessories are fine. I am not giving 5 stars because of the disturbing anti smoking ads that were used to keep the gloves flat. I'm not a smoker but I don't have the need or desire to see a picture of a stillborn baby to scare me. I dont know what to say really. Its messed up.

Pay attention to the size chart! I normally wear a medium or small but read the reviews and checked the size chart and the Large was perfect. I didn't get a picture with the gloves and fake cigarette holder the dress is very nice and I got a ton of compliments at the '20s themed party I attended. A little pricey, but it comes with the whole kit and kaboodle!

Iâm a curvy 4â11â at 150lbs and ordered a size Large. Dress fit great and was so beautiful! Iâm normally very self conscious in clothes but this dress fit so well on my body. There is a side zipper that I didnât see at first but the dress had stretchy enough fabric that I didnât necessarily need the zipper.
Wouldnât recommend...

Absolutely gorgeous beading and sequin pattern and they seem put on well. However the under layer slip is not straight and is so short in the back that my butt is not covered and can be seen through the top sequined sheath. So I'll have to buy a slip to put under so all of me is covered!

These are so cute and comfortable. They run really small though. I had to go up 3 sizes and it was still snug.Also, they didnât provide bigger stockings to go with the bigger dress.Otherwise it was a fun outfit to wear and I got compliments days after wearing it.

It was the perfect fit. Iâm 5â5 and 130 lbs. Iâm normally a medium and this fit perfectly. It wasnât snug and wasnât too loose. I was a bit nervous it wouldnât fit and didnât have time to get a new one since it was scheduled to arrive on new years eve.

Exactly as described and beautiful! My only issue is that after reading the reviews I ordered a size up (Iâm normally a S) and unfortunately the bust area is a tad large. However this isnât anything a good bra and a couple pins wonât fix. The waist size and length are perfect. If I were to change anything it would be the head piece as it has a gold embellishment and the rest of the jewelry is silver.

The dress is great for the occasion but as soon as you put it on the dress starts to fall apart. The button strings fall out one by one when wearing it. Also the decorations on the dress are also unstable as they also fall and leave a mess behind.

Higher quality than I expected. Was very very nice and the fastest shipping. It was way too large in my chest (which I had expected since I'm quitesmall) but the rest was really nice.

I orders 2 sizes larger than usual. Was very short.Had to wear tights tights. Other wise it was great. Lots of compliments.
