This dress is better than expected. I read all the reviews before purchasing and was still impressed with the amount of detailing and good quality. I bought this dress for a wedding I will be attending later this year, so it was very important that I found a good quality dress (not a costume) that fits with the theme. I received the dress sooner than expected and could not wait to check out the fine details.Overall, the dress is exceptionally well done for the price. With that being said the dress does have some flaws. In the picture you can see sequins lining the bottom netting of the dress (behind the fringe), the sequin detail is not on the edge of the dress (see photo). I trimmed the excess netting that was an eyesore and problem solved. The fringe was also not cut in the pattern shown on the picture (also some pieces were out of place and needed to be trimmed). Also there was some flaws with the beading (some of the individual beads were positioned differently then the ones around it), which should be expected from a beaded gown. Luckily, I ordered the black version of the dress and flaws with beading are very hard to spot.I still believe this dress is great quality at a bargain price. Just wanted to list some of the small details and flaws that I noticed with my dress.The dress is roomy as others have listed in their review but that is the style of the dress that fits with the 1920's era. If you are looking for a form fitting dress that is going to be skin tight then this probably isn't the dress for you.

The dress if beautiful! I wore it to a Halloween party and received many complements! There is a lot of detail in the beading, it is well made, and did not cause any irritation with the underarm beading. I plan on wearing this to other events if the occasion calls for it. I was worried about the fit, but it fit well. There is a bit of stretch to the dress and the overlay hides some bulges in the stomach area. To give you an idea, my waist is 31 inches and my hip is 44 inches. This was more fitted in the hip for me, but was not tight. The waist was more loose, but that's to be expected in a dress in this style. I recommend this dress if you are thinking of purchasing it!

Very pretty dress. Well made. Took a while to arrive, and was too large, so if you are buying this dress, pick a smaller size than you normally would pick. Plus, the dress gives a little (it's got some elastic in it.)

I'm 5'9", 170, small boobs and wide waist, and the medium fits me like so, which is to say it fits me like friggin magic.Only downside is the zipper, which sticks a little. But that being said, I'm not used to wearing fancy stuff and being mindful of that junk, and there's an AWFUL lot of junk (layers and sequins and stringy stuff) for the zipper to catch on. It's not a casual dress.

For the cost of this dress, it is amazing quality! I am 5'6 and weigh 160. I would normally wear a medium or large. I opted for the large so it will fit more like the 20s fashion. SO comfortable. Garment has stretch and give to it. I got many compliments on it!

This is more beautiful than I expected for the price. The black beads are really nice against the beige/pink toned fabric, which happens to be stretchy and rather comfortable. My only complaint is that the sizes and make are somewhat unpredictable. I accidentally ordered the large which was way too roomy for my 5.1 frame, though I am spoon shaped and wider on the bottom. It was too baggy and left a lot of hanging fabric under the arms. So then I ordered the Medium, but when that arrived, it was a good 7 " shorter than the large. I really liked the length on the size Large and long hanging black threads. It covered my calves in just the right place (most people didn't wear super short dresses in the 1920s, contrary to popular belief). The medium had the hanging threads cut short, rather than hang past the hem. So I ended up keeping the size Large and paying for it to get altered to be slider and fit my frame better. Now it's just perfect, but costs me another $20. I've returned the Medium.

The dress is lovely, and exactly as it looks in the pics - the material is heavy and has a fair amount of stretch, and at 5'4" the main bit of the dress reaches just slightly above my knee, with the tassels hitting my mid-shin. However, I am a size 16-18 (occasionally a 20 in tops) and I found the X-large is too loose on me, but I prefer a close fit in a dress to hold me in a bit and shape me!!

Absolutely love it.I am a size 12 sometimes 14 with dresses and as I am bigger around hips I find it hard to get dresses.I put it on it was not short the underlay, it was just below the knees, I found it all in proportion no wobbly bits the top party fitted fine 32ddI cant wait to wear this - I think It would also be good in the future for a wedding or new years eve party which I will certainly be wearing it atthank youmine is red and black

Perfect 1920s dress with a bit of style. Pattern on the front and the back. I ordered large, I'm 14 top and 12 hips, as the design is straight down it fitted perfectly. I'm 5'6" and the underskirt touched the top of my knee, with the fringing just below. It has a side sip, which I didn't need as neck allows the dress to slip on. It's also a very good weight.

I wanted a more authentic 20's dress. The others online are too tight and sexy. That was not the style back then, they had finally gotten rid of their corsets and wanted to be free and fun. I'm 5' 2" a sz 4-6 I bought a Small.This dress is very pretty and I received many compliments.Also bought the recommended set of accessories to bring together the whole look (feathered headband, long gloves, art deco earrings, cigarette holder, added a black feather boa and a short blonde finger waved wig)Out of 150 at the party several people said my husband and i looked the most authentic.The only thing I was not crazy about is that I had to order 2 of this dress, the fabric puckers on the zipper side.I don't even know why they added a side zipper it doesn't need one. I compared the 2 dresses and kept the one that was less noticeable. Sent the other back which was very easy to do.I will be able to wear this dress again later to a nice dinner or on a cruise.

The dress is really lovely. I am a very busty 10/12 so I was really worried about what size to order as I measure 40 across my bust. I braved ordering a medium. It fits perfect across my chest...not tight at all. A little loose around the waist/hips but as itâs a fancy dress for a 1920âs party it suits the era better. Really pleased with it.

This isnât the first time I have brought a dress from Amazon and it wonât be the last. This dress fits like a dream and looks lovely. The zipper was a bit stiff when it arrived, but after a couple of minutes persuasion it comes up and down beautifully. So glad I choose this dress.

Lovely looking dress for a gatsby party.The dress was ordered for someone else and was a little on the large side for them so can't comment on fit as this may be due to their measurements.The dress looked like good quality for the money and had lovely beadwork.Item was well packaged and arrived quickly with prime.I would recvomend and will be saving the listing for if I ever need to order for myself.

Whilst good quality, has a good amount of detail for the price and looks like it does on the pictures, this dress is too big. I'm 5ft 4, size 12 and ordered a medium but the top half is huge.I will be returning this dress.

I purchased this dress for a Gatsby themed party and wasnât sure what the quality would be like and I wasnât expecting much for the price but the quality of the dress was so much better than I was expecting. I am delighted with this dress. I am a size 14 - 16 and ordered L. It fits perfectly. 1920's stle is not supposed to 'hug'. This fits as it should. HB loves it.

Really comfortable to wear all night, delivered on time. Just if you're a fuller bust you can't wear a padded bar, have to go with the non-padded option and then you're perfect.

Loved this dress, classic 1920's design without being too glam. Lost it to my friend who is going to a 1920's themed dinner and dance with me. Glad I ordered various designs to choose from! A bit shorter than other designs which suited her better being only about 5' tall.

Pretty dress with lovely sparkly detail. Slight defect on the seam meant I returned it which was a shame as it would have been perfect for my party. Fit and hung well. Was good quality material for the price.
