Without the belt, this is a very comfortable dress. The pleats, however, don't really pass muster.

I wear a size 12 and purchased the size L. I am actually happy with this dress. I didn't buy it for any occasion -- I just like wearing vintage style dresses instead of jeans or athleisure wear. I did hand wash and line dry the dress, as recommended. It does need pressing. I used a pressing cloth with a higher heat with steam. As I have sewn for years and work with such fabrics, I am an old hand at pressing. I only give it three stars because the pleats are placed on the bias of stretchy fabric and, as a result, don't lie flat or press crisply. I might rework the pleats-- perhaps stitch them into place, but I'm too lazy to do it now. Overlooking that, I love the heavier hand of the fabric and the stretch of this dress. I don't wear it with the belt and it is soooo comfortable. I plan on purchasing other Gown Town dresses in this fabric.

This dress is a lovely fabric, fit, and easy to clean/iron. The instructions say not to iron or machine dry, but I've done both several times and it is fine. One thing you should realize is how much brighter the rhinestone buttons are than the actual dress. They are bright red compared to the deep crimson of the fabric.

Follow size chart, it fit nice . I ordered if with a tulp (tutu) under skirt to go with it. Perfect match , looks a lot better this way . Perfect purple color , stretchy martial . I ordered a Large: I'm 38 bust/29 waist Length is under the knee at calf length.
Fit Well & Pretty, but Came Stained Though

I really liked this dress. It fit well and was really pretty when it arrived and I first tried it on. (My son even asked me to twirl in it, because the skirt was so full and nice.) I was excited to wear it to work until I noticed it came with what appeared to be dark blue ink stains. I considered washing it to see if the marks will come out, but decided against it because I'll be out the $36.99 I paid for this if the stains remain.Also, the color is a little different from the photos. It's actually lighter and more blue in person. Hence, the 3 star rating. I will be exchanging this dress in hopes the next one is free of marks or stains.

I purchased this dress for an upcoming event and could not be more pleased with the purchase. If your like me you really enjoy vintage dresses but can't stand the price. This dress is a great alternative to sites like unique vintage and other online boutiques. The material is different from any other dress I've owned but it is very soft, stretchy, and holds its shape really well. The one thing I would say is that you may need to iron out the pleats a little for it to sit flat which isn't to challenging. Just for reference, I am wearing a petticoat that I bought from grace Karin here on amazon and it works perfectly with the dress. For the price this dress is awesome. I cannot wait to wear it out!

This dress is flattering, extremely comfortable, and stylish without being too much. I was concerned I might look a little too retro in it, but it really walks that line of being a throwback without looking ridiculous. I'm curvy and it accentuates that, without accentuating off any belly flaws. Sizing is right on, and the purple is vibrant and rich.

Fits fine, but doesn't really look like the pictures. It's made of weird fabric that can't be ironed or washed in a washing machine (tag says "no iron" & "handwash only") I would not recommend this.
