The material that the skirt is made from is very stiff, and the stitching at the waist is very rigid. The colors in the skirt are less bright than they appear in the photo, and the skirt has a textural pattern aside from the floral print. It does hide a tummy while standing but when sitting, it looks awkward on me.

I buy this brand quite frequently and am almost always pleased. If you only like "natural fibers" such as cotton, linen, etc., you might not like this dress (or even this brand) because I have at least five and all are some type of synthetic or polyester fabric. This makes them easy to care for/laundry, but just thought I would mention this since some consumers don't care for the artificial/synthetic type fibers.On a positive note, the colors in this particular dress are absolutely beautiful, much prettier than I expected and the price was very, very affordable.
