Strange fit

The dress seems fairly well-made as these sort of thin knit dresses go and the color (royal blue, plain) is marvelous but the fit is strange. The knit is a matte jersey with a texture but still shows every line and bump, which I'd be fine with except that the knot doesn't sit where it should. If I pull it down into place where it should go, just under the bust, my bra shows at the arms. If I pull it up to where my bra doesn't show, the knot is almost in front of the bust. It's not hideous but it's not great and just doesn't fit like it should. Pictures show it with the knot in both positions. I am 37"/32"41" and ordered a 14.

Makes me look thinner than I am, very flattering dress, even my chest looks pert and trust me any women over 50 needs all the help we can get. I ordered size 18 and feel great in it. For the price I paid am ordering another one.

(We owned a bridal and formal store for 10 years, so you can trust we have touched thousands of dresses.) This is a polyester "jersey" (aka stretch) material. Good weight material, not some flimsy cheap knockoff. In bright sunlight, it is translucent in the skirt, but undergarments are not visible. This is not uncommon for this type of dress. Get a half slip if you are modest. The low v neckline is stitched for 1 inch, beginning 1.5 inches above the knot. Leaving a small gap above the knot. This was easily rectified by pulling up a back piece of the knot and tacking it to the bottom of the stitching for the v. The chest area is very flattering. If you have a little, it looks like a lot. If you have a lot, well, get ready for some gawking. The chest area will cover completely, or it can be adjusted to be more revealing. My wife is 5'6", with long legs. We had to hem the dress 2 inches to have it break above the knee. The back tie allows you to cinch at the natural waist. This is an unbelievably flattering dress. Enjoy.

Nothing amazing and I have only tried it on so far but it fits well. I'm 5'2 and vary in weight from 115 to 130 ( depending on if it's summer or winter lol :) I got a medium and think it will work with my changing weight ( was upper 120s when tried on) I got this dress because I thought it would fit my bust well (d to dd) and it does very nicely. The fabric feels quite nice as well. All in all I might have gotten a nicer dress for the price if I had looked harder but I can't find anything to truly complain about. I was thinking beach dress ( I got the bright blue, which is VERY blue) but it's more of a going to dinner with your parents dress. It's a bit long on me to be a sexy club dress, which is what the fabric makes it feel like, but I'm super short. My one caution is that I have not washed it yet and have no idea how it will hold up, though I have no reason to think it won't.

I bought this item for an up coming trip to Hawaii.The fabric is light and silky so I expect it will be nice and cool to wear. the color is great. The arm holes are a bit big, but not so bad that it renders the dress unwearable. I think I am close to 220# , 5'4", and a size 18/20. I purchased the size US 20/ EUR 48. fits perfect, hides any belly bulged. the V neck does come down low, but you can position the fabric so that there isn't too much cleavage showing. It is knee length on me. I am pear shaped and it's a pretty flattering cut for me, giving a nice hourglass shape. Arrived super fast! You can't see from the picture, but there is a seam that runs down the middle of the front. At first I was like"whoa, what the.." but when you put it on, it drapes like the photo. over all, really good buy for the price.

Love this dress. It's so flattering on and hides a multitude of sins. I'm usually a busty size 14 but got this in a size16 just to be on the safe side, mainly to minimise bra bulges on my back. Fits perfectly. I'm 5ft9" and it's reasonably long too. Nice, heavy and stretchy material. Can't wait for an occasion to wear it. Already considering other colours but can't decide which.

My husband and are taking a trip to WDW to celebrate our 23rd anniversary, so I wanted a dress for dinner that would be a little fancier than capris and mouse tee shirts. But not so fancy that I couldn't wear it for hours if we decided to walk around the Springs district, or at a theme park.Before we get into it... I'm 5'7", 38H, 44" waist, 49" hip. The added bonus of Amazon free returns made it super simple.Okay, so this dress... I like it, but I don't think it is what I want for this occasion. It's a comfy jersey style fabric. It comes to right at the top of my kneecap. The sleeves are long, and puddle a little at my wrists, but I"m okay with that. The sleeves are also a little tight... I would be self-conscious of my upper arms in this dress. The bust area fits wonderfully, which is always a bonus for those of us who are blessed with the big'uns! I never felt that I needed to wear a cami under this, though I would definitely wear a black bra underneath, just in case.I could see what other reviewers means about the knot area having a hole. It's not like "oh my God there's a hole in the fabric!" but more of a "oh, the way it was sewed didn't connect it to the rest of the fabric." Hard to describe, but it's not a defect in terms of a ripped garment. Does that make sense? The hole didn't bother me, and I would bet when I wear this, no one will even notice.The skirt was basic a-line. It didn't flare very much at all, so it fell nicely. I'm an apple-shaped person, and I got a small "pregnant belly" vibe from this, but not much. And the ditzy pattern helped hide it more than I think a solid color would have.So... while this dress might not be what I was looking for, it's definitely a cute dress, and I'm going to keep it to wear to work functions when I have to be a little fancier than khakis and a polo. This will also be darling in the fall/winter with black tights.

I am buying this dress for the THIRD TIME! This is my absolutely most favorite dress in the entire world. I have a Bronzish complexion and this dress is the best companion to my skin tone.The first one I wore it until it died, it took me through fabulous pre pregnancy sexiness, maternity and breast feeding...and then it died..I bought a 2nd one after waiting for long months for them to restocked....that was quickly snatched up by my mother..I loved seeing her in it so much, I let her have it as a gift..now My Queen is back and she is ALL MINE AGAIN!

I suspect there is a lot of polyester - quite shiny and clings. I also bought the longer one which is too long. Cheap but I was disappointed.

Very pleased. Flattering cut, easy to wear and very good value for money. If you want long sleeves, it's ideal casual wear for the beach, holidays abroad or summer in the garden. The fabric is fine if you want just a little warmth, and it hangs well. Not sure about business wear as suggested in the description, though!Arrived within two days of ordering (Royal Mail), nicely wrapped inside the polythene mailer.

Nice dress, pretty colour and a very deep 'v' at the front, had to be careful how it was assembled. A little short for winter, thin material, will be wearing this more when the sun comes back.
