Buttons are not just for decoration!

First, let me say this dress was beautiful! Gorgeous detailing on the bodice and appliques on the moderately full skirt. No complaints about quality. But, the description is definitely inadequate. I thought it would be a full length zipper with decorative buttons. The buttons are not just decorative! The zipper only goes up to about your waist. Then there are 26(!) buttons with elastic loops! Since my fiance and I are eloping alone, I won't have an attendant to button me up, and it would be impossible for me to do it myself. I also thought that I would be able to wear a petticoat to poof out the skirt more, but the underskirt is cut too straight for a petticoat to work. It does have several layers of netting attached already, but I wanted to make it as full as the pictures and I would not be able to do that without major alterations. The length was perfect for tea length, several inches below my knee and I'm 5'7" tall. All things considered, I would have kept the dress if the buttons hadn't been a deal breaker for me.
