Lovely dress, runs small

Overall - product was as pictured, and shipping was as expected. Quality of the dress appears very good with just trying it on. For now it hangs until homecoming.Sizing - This dress runs small for US sizes, at least for the size 18 plus we ordered. For reference, my daughter normally wears a standard US size 16. We feared it would run small and ordered the 18 plus as a size up, and glad we did. It just fits at the waist for closing the zipper. If you're curvy, you may want to go up a size from your normal.Length - The dress is a bit shorter than we envisioned. My daughter is 5'8", it hits mid-thigh, and passes the typical fingertip test by about an inch for her. She plans to wear black spanx because she's not comfortable with the length to go without something else under the skirt.Design - The zipper only goes to the waist, then you have a very long length of ribbon (matching fabric of dress) for lacing up the back (think corset inspired). The dress is as pictured, but I never looked at the back too closely in the picture. There is a wide panel of fabric which layers under the lacing area, so there is no skin visible when you are done lacing, creating a solid back area. A little different, but allows you to snug up the bodice nicely. Unless you are really flexible, you'll want help lacing this up when you wear it, and likely help getting out of it. It has a built-in bra/shelf, so she does not plan to bother with a strapless bra. Also, the lace shoulder strap has a thin strip of fabric underneath to give it some stability. We need to play around with the lacing a bit - we laced bottom to top first, but thinking top to bottom might be better.Shipping - This product ships from Shanghai, China. We ordered September 15 and paid for expedited shipping, with the product arriving September 27 via FedEx. Oddly, Amazon thinks my package is delayed somewhere when I already have it a day earlier than FedEx predicted.Daughter is happy and can't wait for her dance.

Dress is beautiful! It was too short and too tight for my daughter..if we had time i would have reordereda larger size in the dress.
