I love this base. It makes my colors pop. And helps to blend them seamlessly!

Awesome stuff! I added it as a base under green shadow to make it pop! Stayed on all night long!

So good and so affordable! I had my doubts about eyeshadow primer being necessary, but I decided to try it out because it was so inxpensive. I got the white one and used it with an urban decay palette. I compared swatches on my arm with the primer and without and it made a huge difference! The bottom two swatches are with primer, the top two are without. The eyeshadow was so much richer when used with the primer and I needed less eyeshadow to get a good color. More than worth the money. I'm officially converted to the primer life lol

I took the time to create and edit a video review before I realized that Amazon's review format (at least on smaller items) had changed and no longer appears to allow attaching a video. What a bummer.Anyhow, in the video, I put Nyx's Eye Shadow Base and the Too Faced Shadow Insurance to a head-to-head test, using one product on each eye. I much preferred the creamy texture of the Nyx product to the thin, liquid texture of the Shadow Insurance. I also much preferred the Nyx pot to the Shadow Insurance tube. I felt that the Nyx cream in the pot allowed me better control of how much product I was putting on and where. When using shadow over each base, it appeard that Shadow Insurance provided a more intense, pigmented appearance to the shadow, but it wasn't a landslide victory over the Nyx.My eyelids are super sensitive to a lot of cosmetics, and neither product bothered me very much. I am also very fragrance sensitive and neither product bothered me in terms of fragrance. In terms of adjusting my makeup during or after application (if I made a mistake or wanted to adjust something), I found this very very difficult to do with Shadow Insurance and a bit easier to do with the Nyx Shadow Base. I know a lot of people love Shadow Insurance for its long-lasting properties, but I would rather be able to have a little wiggle room in adjusting my look than have a long-lasting look--that's just my preference.I didn't find a huge difference in the staying power of these products, but I think the Shadow Insurance had the edge.In terms of price comparison, the Nyx Eye Shadow Base is nearly half the cost of Too Faced's Shadow Insurance, though the amount of product you get is not different enough to warrant the cost, in my opinion (the Nyx product is .21 ounces and the Too Faced product is .35 ounces). In summary, if what is most important to you is that your makeup stay in place for many hours after you apply it and you're expert enough to not have to make many adjustments to your look, the Too Faced Shadow Insurance is probably your best bet. If, like me, you prefer a creamier, easier to use product that is more forgiving of making adjustments, I'd recommend the Nyx Eye Shadow Base. If I would buy either product again, it would be the Nyx Eye Shadow Base.

You have to leave the product out to dry for two days before using!! It’s okay it’s not super impressive. It’s not my favorite base. If you don’t set it it’ll crease very badly. Probably will only use it if I have nothing else to use

This stuff is awesome! Up until a couple months ago, I'd never used much eyeshadow let alone a base but this is a great product AND is very reasonably priced. I was having an issue with my "lower-priced" shadow fading after a couple hours but my shadow stays vibrant for hours now.Long story: I typically buy very little makeup but I splurge on the expensive stuff for a few reasons: 1- i need oil free makeup and for sensitive skin. 2 - the quality is consistently higher 3 - you get your money back most times if it doesn't work. I've been getting into a larger variety of makeup lately and have been discovering those little inexpensive treasures that rival the big brands. NYX is busting at the seams with these types of hidden gems! I sound like a walking billboard, but I truly have been pleasantly surprised with NYX

I bought this for two reasons. To make colors pop- the small reason. And to help with my tiny eye wrinkles, which keep channeling eye makeup into my eyes and causing constant irritation- a pretty big problem since I haven't been able to wear make up anymore! Any- even foundation- because of it. So I needed this to work to fill the eyelid wrinkles in.It kind of worked. Kind of. In theory. The problem is it just won't set. It wants to settle in my creases before I can even get the shadow on. And then it just wants to run off my face immediately, shadow and all. Once on, it has helped with the eye irritation though, which I didn't think was possible- I even wore eye liner recently! A miracle! But it looked grungy within 30mins. And I'm afraid a setting spray will cause the red eye/tears worse than anything. So, if you have sensitive eyes, it's good for that. It also did really help my super bright shadows pop (I included a little picture of me just messing around, no other make-up). But it just wouldn't last on my older eyes that have creases that rub.

I thought this was one pot of product but received 3 so was super happy about the price. This definitely works to make eyeshadow pigments show up better. The only con I have for it is that it is very difficult to blend onto the eyelid so I end up with fairly hash edges. It also has a tendency to cause creasing. I haven't had a lot of chances to play with this product yet either so I still have hope that I can make it work better somehow.

Lovely product. Gentle on the eyes doesnt feel atall HEAVY... Allmost weightless, lovely smooth finish. Provides perfect amount of eye base covered, Primes and lightens perfectly and seems to make Your Eyeshadow colour or the pigments in it pop! Way more intense and allot brighter...... Thus Your eye makeup lasts longer as you dont use as much. Eyemakeup stays put for hours with added use of fixing spray, with no loss of colour all night! With use of this base allso...WOW!. I was aprehensive about trying a new product as i have very sensitive eyes... But this base Primer was Great, no irritation or drying the skin out whats so ever..... I have bought other brands of this product at over quadruple the price on this Primer.... And i can honestly say this Primer is just as good as allot of higher end makeup brands, and even better than some. Excellent item for its price! A Definate recommended buy....5***** really couldnt be without this product. Especially this quality at this price! Fantastic! Actually does what it says.... Its not just blurb! Which is refreshing.. The best eye makeup Primer under 30 pounds ive used by far. Recommended! xEvery makeup bag NEEDS this product!

Unfortunately doesn’t last all day, by 4pm my eyeshadow is in greasy creases. The colour of it which is an orangey beige also shows through the eyeshadow. I’m going back to another brand of long wear neutral colour eyeshadow as my base as it lasts all day and evening. Nice texture though.

This base does exactly what it says it would, incredibly soft and creamy. Easy to apply, takes a while to get used to leaving the base looking uneven but truly does make all my eyeshadows POP! 10/10 would reccomend

Having used this as an eye primer, I find that I get a great pop of colour and sparkle to most of my eyeshadows by just applying a little product. As it has a somewhat creamy in consistency, it is a little difficult to apply. I generally apply the NYX cosmetics eyeshadow base pearl white and any of my high-pigmented eyeshadows.Product Dimensions: 3.8 x 3.8 x 3 cm; 390 gBoxed-product Weight: 23 g

Not that impressed by it. It says it doesn’t crease which is what I wanted but after an hour it looked more creased than it did with just concealer or no product at all

It creases, but I guess if you use a solid eye primer underneath (e.g. urban decay) it will make any colour pop.

I didn't really like this product it sort of bunched up on my eyes like concealer does under the eyes sometimes. Also I don't think eyeshadow stuck to it that great.
