I've been trying this primer for several months now and it is becoming one of my favorites! For reference, I've also extensively used these eyeshadow primers: Milani, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Wet n' Wild Photofocus, and Lorac. The Cover Girl primer has a more sticky/tacky texture than the others I've tried, dries down clear, and is applied with a wand applicator. This is by far the most long-wearing, smudge-proof primer I've used! Not only have I tested on my eye for daily use, but I also applied some to my hand, applied an eyeshadow over top, let it set, then tried to rub it off. It didn't come off my hand even after hard scrubbing with a towel and washing with soap and water! Below, I've detailed the best ways I've found to use this product:-Because of the stickiness of the formula, it can act almost as a glitter glue and makes metallic and shimmer shadows pop. If this is your desired look, I have found it best to apply your eyeshadow about 15 seconds after applying the primer, before it has time to fully set and is still sticky. Then pack the metallic or shimmer shadow on with a flat brush or your finger.-If you want to create a more blended eyeshadow look, you will need to let the primer dry down a little longer and set with a translucent/nude powder first. I have found that if I don't properly do these two steps, it can make your brush and eyeshadow skip along your eyelid, resulting in a somewhat patchy look. This is the only issue I've run into while using this product, but it can be avoided with a little practice, and is worth it due to the long-lasting nature of the product.I've tried to think of ways to compare it to the other primers I've tried, but I really can't! It is a unique product that is definitely worth checking out. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the possible frustration some may have by having to set the product before applying eyeshadows, but I have had no issues with it after figuring out that it needs to be set first.

If I could give this 10 stars I so would. Cover girl is amazing. This makes my face look so flawless. Its not all thick and noticeable. I love it cover girl is the best. I love all their products.

Waste of money. Product stays very sticky/tacky even if allowed to dry. If you have a hooded eye it sticks together. When applying eye shadow it clumps in one spot and you can't apply it smoothly or evenly. Plus it's not returnable.

This stuff is keeps my make-up put- even if I SWIM, SHOWER, OR SLEEP!!! HOLY GRAIL! RIDE or DIE!! You can use this at my burial, or CREAMATION! I will LOOK FLAWLESS!

You can apply this over foundation or color correction without a problem - it stays tacky for a little bit which makes it a little harder to blend your eyeshadow at first, but my eyeshadow looks exactly the same 12 hours after applying it as it did when I first finish my makeup in the morning. I didn't notice a strong smell at all - love this product! Much better than just using concealer alone as primer!

I have so many allergies to eye primer and this one does not inflame my eyes and works great. Will definitely buy again especially since CG no longer tests on animals!

This product meets its claims. I was surprised by the difference it made even before I applied mascara. There was no flaking of it and it lasted till removed.

Good affordable eyeshadow base. Works on oily hooded lids, which are the ultimate test of an eyeshadow primer. Comparable to expensive brands like Nars. Evens out lid colour for a smooth even eyeshadow application

This is kind of a weird primer. 90% of the time I love it and it really does make my eyeshadow last all day. But for some reason, when I use darker eyeshadows, there's just one section on the outer corner of my eye where the shadow won't fill in or blend. I'm guessing that's true with all shadows and it's just more noticeable with dark ones. I guess the primer just doesn't work well on all parts of the lid... I've also found that it works best if you put your base color on right after the primer, while it's still wet. It's hard to blend anything on top of the primer if you wait until it's dry. That being said, as far as durability of my eyeshadow goes, it's the best primer I've ever used.

I didn't particularly like this eyeshadow primer. It felt too sticky and irritating on my eyelids. But I'm very impressed with the seller as they gave me a full refund and told me not to worry about returning it. Because of that, I would definitely purchase from this seller again. Rather than throw it out, I gave the primer to my daughter, and it seems to work okay for her.

I tried this yesterday, in the morning. Eyeshadow went on really well and stayed on until I took it off last night. No creasing. I would recommend this product.

I liked this primer, a really good inexpensive option. A little goes a long way, otherwise it can patchy. Makes my eyeshadow literally lay all day. Would recommend.

Oh... my....god. I never knew a sexy and wonderful primer like this existed. I really put it to the test too. So I put a small amount on my upper lid and smudged it in well, then I used the applicator stick to apply it to my life and place my lose eye shadow power in it in a dabbing fashion. Not smearing. Today was about 98% humidity and 29 degrees, and I ride a bycicle to and from work. Over 12 hours of wear, no smearing, no creasing, not even any transfer on my finger when I touch it. Sealed so nicely I could even wear my false eye lashes over it either no issue what so over. I'm never buying another eye makeup primer again. This stuff is solid gold! And it arrived super fast too.
