I like this set of eyeshadow. It is actually matte and not shimmering. Shimmering is a no-no on eyelids with wrinkles or the crepe like skin of mature women. So this is a definite thumbs up for a mature lady!

This eye shadow is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm 55 and frosted eye shadows accentuate my droopy eyelids and ever increasing wrinkles.The colors are very flattering. The matte colors look so much better and they last all day (I also wear primer). For the price, this kit just can't be beat. It's wonderful!

I have salt and pepper hair. It's fine and thin. There is a spot here or there that doesn't look as thick as I would like. Not a bald spot, but when you have fine, thin hair and keep it short, sometimes there is a spot where a bit of skin shows.Those hair fibers, powders etc are expensive and I thought.....why not try a matte eyeshadow? AND I found this one with everything from white to black :-).I just wet my finger or the little sponge applicator and sponge into the small area. I use whatever color looks best there. For some, since it's salt and pepper, I use the medium gray, for some the white.WORKS GREAT and I figured since you can use it on your eyelids......should be ok to use once in awhile.I don't use EVERY day, but if I am going out and about, just a bit of a touch here or there.I DON'T ADVOCATE this. I know it's not what it was meant for. Just saying what I do and it's cheap and works.

I am pleased and amazed that this inexpensive product works so well. Having mature skin, I prefer matte eyeshadow and no glitter, sparkle or neon color. This selection of browns can be mixed to create whatever looks best. Slightly dampening an eyeshadow brush first is helpful. I use the darkest brown as an eyeliner and it is perfect! These seem to stay put pretty well on their own. However, after awhile everything smudges on me unless I use a finishing spray. Very happy with this and I intend to order more in case it is discontinued which happens WAY too often!!!

So, I am bummed unpaid $5 for this BC after I did I saw it at my local dollar store for only $1 but aside from that, it's not a bad product for the cost (either one). It's not MAC or urban decay or whatever amazing product lines are out there nowadays, but it works well and does its job. I would definitely suggest using a primer or base on your eyes to make the colors more saturated and stay longer. It doesn't blend as well as a more expensive brand, but if you work at it you can achieve the effect you want. I use a thin layer of chapstick when I don't have anything better. Whatever works right? Also, I will mention I used the darkest color on my eyebrows just to fill them in a bit. The darkest color is VERY dark when first applied, but I like that I have the option to soften it or wear it heavy.

It's hard to buy matte eye shadow right now since sparkly is all the rage, so I bought this based on others' reviews. I'm so glad I did! The gray matte in this slection is PERFECT eye shadow, and the applicator is sturdy. I wish I hadn't bought the other 6 eye shadows at CVS, seeking out the perfect product. This one is it. I'll def buy it again. The gray stays put all day long - no creasing or flaking. (I'll probably use the other colors in this product, too, but right now I'm having fun using only the gray.)

I'm giving this product 4 out of 5 stars. The only thing preventing it from earning the 5th star is the fact that the colors do not match the picture description for this product. In the picture for the pink chiffon 5 color palette Which shows the last color being red the second to last being hot pink. It earned 4 stars because it came in a timely manner it was in fact brand new and in very good condition with none of the colors being destroyed from shipping. Really wish I could have gotten the colors that were shown however I kind of feel like I wasted my money because I do not need these colors.

I ordered Purple Cashmere because I really needed purple matte. But the actual colors are weak as hard chalk. Only one looks purple in the pallette -- but looks more like grey on the skin when you FINALLY get any of the product to show up on the skin.Usually, weak eyeshadow will show on my hand but fail to transfer onto my lids. This garbage won't even transfer onto my hand!When I finally got all five shades to show (after endless repeated applications -- and wet method for the most stubborn ones), all I ended up with were slightly different shades of ash. Greyish ash; blackish ash; brownish ash; whitish ash; ashy ash. So this is Purple Cashmere? Non-returnable, non-refundable TRASH-mare!

Pro's:Definitely matte shades, which are hard to find. Smooth application. Great price. Arrived intact. Good all day wear (almost the end of the work day and still in place).Con's:The first two colors (lightest ones) are basically identical on the lid. The middle one is barely pigmented so you can't really see it much at all. The green shade and nearly black shade have more pigment, but still less than you would expect.In the end, although the price was alluring, I probably would have / should have passed on this deal. For the two colors that actually have 'color' to them, it wasn't really worth it.

The palettes have 5 beautiful matte shades eacch. I bought 2 palettes as part of an add-on deal. I did not get to choose the colour of the 2nd palette and assumed it would be 2 of the same colour, but I received a different palette completely. It was actually a palette I had added to my wishlist, so part of me wonders if this played a part in the colour chosen or if it was a coincidence.The colours in both palettes (Nude Suede and Purple Cashmere) were nice matte colours that brushed on nicely. I did not use the applicator provided and opted to use my own brushes. They are not the most pigmented colours and I would suggest using a primer underneath for long wear and more noticeable colour. For the price they are great.

Three stars because while the colours look great, they do not go on well. The colours are super light when you try to wear them, you can hardly see the purple. This works if you use it as the highlighter when doing eyes. The other thing is that the powder is super flaky and when I lightly dabbed there ended up being so much powder. So either you get covered in it or you waste half tapping it off. Disappointed but pretty colours for sure.

I love this palette so much that I wear it every day now, regardless of what outfit I'm wearing. It brightens my eyes and looks natural. The shades all blend very well together. I would definitely buy this again.
