I somehow picked this up in a 4 at a steal price compared to what the price is now. It is heavy fabric and fully lined. No snags or strings loose on the fabric, good construction. I am 5'4 and about 124 pounds usually wear a 4 short in Banana Republic and Limited. It fit perfectly at a 4 almost a tad snug in the hips. But really not because had I sized up it would have been too big I think. I think for one thing we are all used to that stretch everything has and this has no stretch. So, if you are between a 4 and 6 get a 6. I'm very small busted as well. I'm a B at most. If you are any more than a B, again, this has no stretch so size up. The dress hits me exactly where it hits the model on the picture, again, I'm 5'4. The dress would benefit to have a small kick pleat in the back, but it does not have that. So, climbing into the truck wasn't graceful but again can't knock the dress itself for my lack of grace in a fitted dress. Fit perfect and was perfect for a semi formal gala. I think you could wear it fall, winter, and into early sprint. Toss a jean jacket over it to dress it down, put on a shrug or cardigan to dress it up. I wore it sleeveless because we were indoors. Good buy.
