This was a little on the large side even though I went by the size chart. It's cute, but the fabric is flimsy and the bow fell off after 4 washes. This is as "meh" as a review can get.
The perfect "Lucy" dress

I bought this for an "I Love Lucy" Halloween costume dress. The size 4 fit perfectly. (I am 5'2" with a 34" bust and 26" waist) The fabric is a little stiff...kind of like a duck-cloth or light canvas fabric. I washed it on the gentle cycle in cold water with a little Downy to soften it. I was afraid the black might bleed onto the white, but it did not. I hung it to dry, then ironed it and wore a black petticoat under it to give it fullness. I removed the black bow for the costume and added a red belt and red shoes. My husband and I won the costume contest as Lucy and Ricky. It would be a very fun dance dress the way the skirt flows when worn with petticoat.
I would recommend buying a size smaller than the chart says--maybe two ...

I followed the size chart and this was MUCH too big, but too small in the arms. It is out of proportion. I would recommend buying a size smaller than the chart says--maybe two sizes smaller--but only if you have really small upper arms. This was true for three dresses I ordered, so I will have to leave identical reviews for three dresses!

This dress is adorable and good quality. I did have to have it altered significantly becausei listened to other reviewers that said to order up. I plan on ordering another from third company but in my normal xl size

This dress is okay--not lined and the fabric is stiff cotton--but I still wanted to wear it. A small side zipper made that impossible; if you have a C-sized chest or above, you will not be able to get it over that area of your body in order to put the dress on. I had to return it.
