For anyone who's left a review of this product giving it a 5-star review... You are using a fake Anastasia Beverly Hills palette!!! The Modern Renaissance palette that I just received is not even comparable to the real thing. Here are the major differences between the fake palette and the real deal (**I'm comparing the fake "Modern Renaissance" palette that I purchased on Amazon through "Tate Lane" and "A Faithful Store" and the authentic "Subculture" palette I purchased at Sephora**):>> The fake palette is extremely lightweight compared to the real palette and doesn't lay flat when placed on a flat, solid surface, unlike the real palette.>> Some of the text of the shadow colors on the fake palette is chipping and there's not enough spacing between the font and the pot of shadow.>> The case of the fake palette is made with a low-quality velvet material that's not even comparable to the look and feel of the real Anastasia Beverly Hills palette.>> The magnet that keeps the case closed is really weak compared to the real palette.>> The fake palette has a WAY longer list of ingredients than what you'll find on the real palette (and is probably filled with toxic chemicals!) Some of the abnormal ingredients on the fake palette include corn starch, polysilicon, vinyl, and glycerin (which are NOT normal ingredients you'll find in the real Anastasia Beverly Hills palette!)>> The box and shadow colors of the fake palette are WAY off from the real thing.>> The shadows are NOT pigmented, are not filled correctly in the case and look patchy when you apply them. One swatch and I could see a major difference between the two.Again, DO NOT BUY THIS FAKE MODERN RENAISSANCE PALETTE FROM the "Tate Lane" or "A Faithful Store" seller on Amazon! I'll be returning this ASAP and purchasing the real palette from Sephora.

It came dirty and messed up on the pink felt part of the packaging and when I opened it it seemed like it has been opened and used before

Iâm really disappointed. I heard this was great. But the color is soooooo light youâd have to do a thousand layers to get it to show.

Wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. I usually always do, but I saw this for half off on Prime Day, got too excited and just purchased without doing any research. When I got it in the mail I was excited, the packaging was nice and there were no broken shadows or anything. But as soon as I put my finger in the first shadow to swatch them, I could immediately tell they werenât real high-end eyeshadows. I swatched all the shades and they were a bit powdery but most still had decent pigment so I decided to give it a shot on the eyes. Iâve used it twice now and as soon as I started blending the first shadow on my lid, I could tell it was fake. The shadows are powdery, donât blend well and thereâs a TON of fallout. These are hands down NOT high end eyeshadows. I tapped my brush into the shadows lightly just one time and it was like a dust storm of eyeshadow everywhere. Is it usable? Yes. But nowhere near worth $40 or even the $22 that I paid when it was on sale. Spend your money elsewhere!
