Awesome eyeshadow primer

This stuff is seriously awesome. I prefer this tube version of NYX's eye shadow base as opposed to their gel-pot version, as that one goes on really thick and makes my eyeshadow all goopy. This one, however, is awesome. I bought it months ago and I'm not even through the whole tube. You only need a little bit of it to cover your whole lid. The applicator wand does a good job of distributing product. I have relatively sensitive eyes and this doesn't make my eyes sting or swell at all. It also helps keep my eyeshadow and eyeliner on all day long, even after an 8-hour shift where I'm constantly on my feet. It holds up really well with sweat, too- if I don't use this under my eyeshadow before I go to the gym, my eyes become a smudgy mess.This stuff is awesome, cheap, and lasts a long time.Update: after using this for almost a year almost every day, I finally had to buy a new tube. This stuff lasts long and performs really well. It was again delivered on-time and in the condition described, and wrapped in original sealed plastic. Love this stuff!

A little wet but works well when set

I have been using this for about a year and just purchased the second one. It is the best primer I have found so far, but it has it's issues. It is VERY wet and takes a while to dry. I have been unable to get it dry before I use my lids and cause a crease. After applying this primer, I use a clean eye shadow sponge to gently press over the lid to absorb some excess wetness and then use a brush to apply eye shadow. I use matte eye shadows that are very powdery. I don't swipe the brush, as it drags the moisture. Instead, I tap or press the end of the brush to the eyelid a little at a time until covered and then swipe to smooth. You may need to wipe your brush on a tissue to remove the wet product in between eyeshadow taps. It is then set and maintains the eyeshadow pigment all day. I wish this primer wasn't so wet, but other primers don't work well on my dry brow bone and just enhance any flaky skin. This primer does the job with some adjustments. The color is very light so you will want to cover it with eyeshadow.

I was looking for a slightly less expensive option to put in my make-up travel bag, so based on the positive reviews and low price point, decided to give the NYX High Definition Eye Shadow Base a try. As an eye shadow primer, it works well. Some reviewers stated it takes forever to dry. I didn't necessarily experience that, but instead noticed that it stays tacky, even when it dries. This is good, as it locks my UD eyeshadow into place without visible creasing. I was curious if this could also be used as a under-eye base... but since it stays tacky I didn't like it as an under-eye base. Not quite the right formulation for that purpose. It is also worth noting, that on my light colored skin, there is no noticeable color to this base.

My eyelids tend to melt eyeshadow into the crease of my hooded eyes by the end of the day. I started using this as my daily base and my eyeshadow looks fantastic after irregular temperatures at work and then two hours in a dance studio sweating. After trying so many, even really expensive ones, this one feels and works the best for daily use on a medium olive undertone complexion. I'm so happy I tried this.

Mi párpado es graso y me ayuda a mantener la sombra todo el dÃa. La fórmula es ligera, seca rápido. Yo siempre he ocupado el de urban decay y aunque en texturas son diferentes es una buena alternativa.

This product lasts all day. For years I have fought with my eyeliner transferring to my lid over the course of the day, leaving ugly dark marks up on my lids. I have tried so many techniques and products to fix it without any success until this one. My eyeliner stays put all day. I donât find the product overly thick or hard to use. I apply dots to the whole lid area with the applicator. Then, I use a brush to blend in completely. It only takes a second or two to finish drying. Eyeliner and eye shadow alike both stay put and look the same at supper as they did when I put them on in the morning. Will be purchasing this again.

Es la primera vez que pruebo el Primer de la marca NYX y he comprobado la durabilidad de su producto. Lo utilizo todos los dÃas para ir al trabajo y hasta ahorita me ha aguantado 10 hrs. Con un párpado como el mÃo que tiende ha ser muy graso y cuyos productos suelen estropearse después de unas cuantas horas, este producto ha resultado una gran revelación. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

The rest of my face is a tad oily because I did my makeup 10 HOURS AGO. My eyeshadow was only lasting half that time before it became a creased-up mess. This is the first day I've used the product and I'm already impressed. Awesome price for this primer!

Thinner formula than UD, leaves residue

I used to wear eyeshadow without primer for a long time, but have been using primer for the last 2-3 years. I would say this primer is OK, it does the job of helping extend the wear time of eyeshadow, but it isn't as effective on me as UD's primer potion. It also has a more liquid formula that takes longer to dry in my experience, and leaves a bit of a cakey residue that settles in the creases of my eyelid. I still get some color fallout when I use this primer, which is a bummer. I like some of NYX's stuff, but probably wouldn't purchase this particular item again.

Good cheap eye shadow base

I normally use a high end eyeshadow base, but it's so expensive for such a small tube. I figured there has to be a cheaper but equally effective product out there... it's just eyeshadow base!! So I did some research and decided to try this. For the price it's impressive. It stays just as long as my expensive one. Applying it takes a slight learning curve, but just dab and pat with your finger in the desired area. It's a little more liquidy than the expensive one I have. Not super comfortable that it's made in China, but I think I'm going to switch to this product.

Lo apliqué en mi párpado que ya tiene algunas arrugas y piel seca. Tambien apliqué en la piel debajo de las pestañas inferiores. Difuminé y listo!!!El resultado fue que mejoró todo el contorno de mis ojos. El tono claro del producto emparejó el color y le dio brillo a mi mirada. Hasta recibà un piropo....que hace años no recibÃa.Lo seguiré comprando y usando!!!

This is my go-to eye shadow primer. I have used high-end eye primers that cost $20 for the same sized bottle but I find that the NYX one works just as well. I can sweat and workout even and my eye shadow still stays on! I am on my 5th bottle of this and keep re-purchasing!

Before I could decide to buy this eye base, i went on youtube to see some reviews. They were a bit mixed to be honest but I still went ahead and ordered it. I wasnt desapointed at all! Its very sumilar to one I had in the past from clinique (which was nice too but a bit more expensive) This one goes on quite well and doesnt feel greasy at all as I read in another review. It makes my eyeshadows POP!! quite happy with. I`ll give it a 4 out of 5 because I which it could be just a bit more creamier to go on the eye....
