I do not corset train

I was able to put the 5x on right out the box with no help. With laces open all the way and the modesty screen covers all the open laced area. With help I could pull the top all the down past the sholder blades completely closed and most of the way threw the waist and upper hip area. This was comfortable to the point I could sit and stand with no effort. The sholder straps are to long as all the other reviews say. Need a plan to deal with that.OK my mesurments are height 5'4, weight 226 lbs, bra 38 ddd, underbust 37 inches, waist 42 inches, around bell button 49 inches and upper hip 54 inches. I got the 5x based on another person's review.

I LOVE this corset! I weight about 160, 5'3 with a 32 inch waist and the 2x fit perfectly. The quality is great!
Go smaller for an hourglass look

This is a beautiful corset - I love the vintage style and quality of the material, and the construction (from the opinion of someone who sews) is well done. That said, even though I used the sizing chart (I wear a size 14/16, L/XL dress and 38D/40C bra, depending on brand, have a 35" waist, 45" hips, an hourglass figure and purchased the 4XL), I found that I had to loosen this corset almost to the widest width allowable in order to get it to fit around my waist - and when I did this, the shoulder straps were way too wide and didn't stay up (even when I tried to cinch at the top only). This was originally purchased for a steampunk costume - unfortunately, it just didn't work for me, so I reluctantly returned it - and because this particular fabric wasn't available to try in 5XL, I ended up going with another option.
Awesome value!

For the price, this is a great corset. I purchased the gold one in a size large (I'm 5'1 155lbs, large bust, smaller waist) and it works well, if a little snug. The straps adjust a couple of sizes, so I was able to get a good fit without them falling down. It has some steel boning at least near the hooks in front, which means I can lace it up fairly tightly. I don't go as snug with it as I would my 100% steel boned one however. It still gives me a flattering waist though and definitely holds everything in! I've bought other corsets on amazon that weren't nearly as good as this one. it's not as restricting as my fully steel boned corset that I bought at a renfair for 5 times as much, but it's damned good quality for the price!
I predict this will be a fun go to vest for various gatherings to come

I am 5'4 1/2 and weigh around 170 (I am rather muscular/fit though) and I got the 4XL and it fit well on me. The sizes are a tad misleading obviously. I do not wear a 4XL in my other clothes. I am usually a large or around a size 12-14. For the price, this is really cute and the quality is satisfying. I got a lot of compliments wearing this on Halloween this year, and wore it to 5 different parties that weekend. I predict this will be a fun go to vest for various gatherings to come! I am happy with my purchase! Also, it came rather quickly after I ordered it which was awesome! Thank you!
Looks great, but go with a larger size (even if sounds too large)

I went with the 5x (I am a size 16, 230 lbs, 5'6". I carry most of my weight in the waist.) Looks great with my Renaissance faire costume, however, I wish I could have went with a size larger. It juuuuust fits with adjustments to the back laces. If I had more time (going to Ren faire Sept 4th), I would exchange it for the larger size but this will do. Will post pictures soon
Gorgeous but it is hard to put on

As other reviewers had stated, the arms are incredibly big - tied as tightly as I could, the material would overlap and still fall down! Other than that, surprisingly good quality, and fit very well. The plastic boning holds you in nicely.
Beautiful corset, lovely fabric, with some unfortunate sizing issues for someone who wears a 14/16 dress

This corset looks great, just like the picture, and the fabric feels substantial and nice. I'm 5'8, 140lbs, 36b, and usually a medium in tops, sometimes a large depending on the brand, fit, and type of shirt, but i ordered a large for this since I have a pretty wide ribcage and frequently items that don't stretch just don't fit in that area (I've had to pass on otherwise incredible looking dresses before because they just couldn't zip up past my ribcage and the next larger size was too big everywhere else), and I'm glad I did since I did have to let the lacing out a bit to get it on. That lacing definitely makes this corset viable for a lot more women though, since it's fully adjustable and if it was too small you could just get a longer string for it (which is the great thing about corsets haha). One thing to note is that this wouldn't work for waist training, it doesn't give the hourglass figure it shows in a couple of the pictures, but it does suck everything in and it's a nice fashion corset. The only problem with the corset, and I did notice other people mentioning it when I was reading the reviews before I bought it, is the fact that it is definitely hard to put on. At first I thought maybe someone was just clumsy but then I saw a bunch more people saying the same thing and they're definitely right. When you put one hook on and go to the next one the first one will come undone, and then when you go back to that one the other one will come off. It's frustrating to say the least :) The best way to do it is to try and get all of them hooked at the same time, which is close to impossible but if you have someone to help hold everything together while you pick up the stragglers it makes it a LOT easier. The final thing I've noticed about it is the fact that (on me at least, it might not be like this for everyone) the shoulder straps, even with the ribbons tied as tight as they'll go, are a bit loose. They come down fairly frequently and I keep having to push them back up. It might be because I have a short torso though, so it probably wouldn't be much of an issue on someone with a more balanced build. All in all I love this corset though, so cute and flattering, and you'll probably love it too.I added a couple pictures for good measure, I just randomly threw it on over what I was already wearing and it turns out it actually looks really cute with this particular blouse (and with no bra at that) so there's another bonus :)Happy shopping =^.^=
