5'2" tall, solid 230# - finally panties for me.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm 78 years old, a little under 5'2" and weigh a solid 230 pounds. As a chubby senior, I try to be as comfortable as is possible consequently, I ordered Size 10 just to cover my back(side!). Also, to accommodate a little shrinkage. The legs and waistband are bound (none of this little crappy stitch-over-the-elastic stuff) the crotch is wide enough to accommodate a panty liner if such would be necessary and they're cool. comfortable and I'm going to order some more ... they;re slightly more expensive than the aforementioned "crappy..." but, unless I'm very wrong, it's worth it. In the past I've ordered others that I just gave away to charity after trying one pair and finding they weren't for me. These are great!

Right out of package 1 of 3 briefs has brown spots on back.

This was a reorder of the same underwear. But they are not the same at all. Quality has gone way down. They are cut smaller, elastic is cheap and stiff, fabric is thinner. What a disappointment.

I wore this brand years ago and switched to Jockey Cotton Comfies which are thinner but more comfortable for every day wear. Comfies are getting harder to find and they stretch out too much around the thigh after many washings. So, I thought I would go back to Elance briefs. What a disappointment. The price has stayed the same but the quality of the cotton has diminished. I'd gladly pay more for a better quality product as these historically have held up for me longer than anything else I've tried. Before washing, the size felt very comfortable. The new ones really shrunk in the wash and I was careful not to over dry them. I'm stretching them out by hand to make them more comfortable. I won't be buying more. My size hasn't changed, but I fear the next size up would be too large.
Horrible Smell!

First time I got Briefs by Jockey, I bought these before I was about to get a c section and was looking forward to using them to ease on my pain and recovery. However, I was VERY disappointed! The moment I opened the bag there was a horrible sulfur like smell from the fabric. I washed them several times with different detergents, air dried them but it was no use. Since I have very sensitive skin, Jockey underwear are the only ones I wear, This never happened to me before, the odor problem was a complete surprise to me and a big issue. A total waste of money since they are going to the trash.

Depends on what you want. I may have chosen badly, thinking these would be more high leg than they are. But they are comfy enough, and I appreciate more than I can say having BOUND leg holes instead of the raw elastic edging which UK underpants ALL seem to have. Bound leg holes is what brought me onto Amazon. And a wish to buy the high leg Hanes ones my mother used to send me from Canada.The cotton is looser weave and thinner than I would like for durability - but everyone is reducing their overheads in this way these days it seems. It is too bad. It is a quality which when I was young would have been sold in Woolworth or Zellers. Made in India. The Hanes ones I bought were the same quality, but made in Thailand. I will repeat purchase the Hanes ones because the design for fit is just heaven on wheels and unchanged from many years ago. It is GOLD.Thank you to all reviewers. I made my choices for size and styling for both Jockey and Hanes based on what you all had to say and very importantly by using the size chart Amazon puts there for us to consult so we can get it right. USE IT!!! And do not expect knicker sizes to be comparable to dress sizes - in any country!
Comfortable and Full Coverage

These underwear are amazing! 100% cotton with covered elastics. Comfy and offers full coverage. They cover up about an inch above the belly button and fully covers the behind too.Sizing is very accurate though I suggest going to the manufacters website and looking at the chart that includes waist measurements. Being 100% cotton this isn't going to have a slimming effect though if you find it too baggy around the mid section give it a good hot wash and high heat dry and it should shrink up a smidgen.

I used their size chart to determine what size to buy. My hips are 42 with the tape measure loose. A size 7 is for hips 42 - 44. Well, I CAN wear them, but they are a little tight. If you like your underwear skin tight, they will be okay. I don't like them so tight. Also, they are 100% cotton, so after washing they might no longer fit at all. I might review again after washing. If they no longer fit, I will have to go through the pain in the neck of returning them, because underwear should definitely be washable! The quality is much better than a different brand that I returned due to being ridiculously small, so I am going to buy another set of these in a size 8.

I washed the underwear first and when I tried them on they of course were too tight on the waist andone pair was smaller to begin withand the fabric is different than what I am used to from Jockey. I was very disappointed because since I washed them and of course being underwear; I cannot return them

strange fit and too small. Rides very high at the top but doesn't fit girth yet bags at the bottom
