Summer Pajamas Not Underwear

HerMaj

Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2015

I'm about 5'5, 125lbs, with middle aged "rolls". Normally I buy a size 7 in underwear, I got these in size 8 and they fit me exactly how I wanted them to fit (after I washed them, there is some shrinkage). TAKE NOTE HOWEVER!! I wanted them to wear as pajama bottoms. They aren't fitted like normal boy short undies... but they're not as loose fitting as regular knit shorts. A very nice compromise between the two styles, they work great to wear to bed on hot summer nights. As is typical with Fruit of the Loom the material is thin, it doesn't retain it's shape as you wear it. I've bought this brand before so I knew it would be of a lesser quality (aka cheap). But like I said, they work exactly what I wanted them for... summer pajamas, not underwear (for those I buy Hanes Comfortsoft, sorry Fruit of the Loom guys)

Seam up the middle makes these unwearable.

Fruit of the Loom must have studied human shape well enough to create the nice comfortable underwear.

Fruit of the Loom was my least favorite product many years ago. But they changed drastically on the ease of wear and better fitting on me. The waist elastic is soft and comfortable (better than Hane's ridged tough waist elastic) The leg portion is well shaped so not mush extra fabric flares around. Overall, Fruit of the Loom must have studied human shape well enough to create the nice comfortable underwear. It's about time someone did it. Hanes, you must go back to the drawing board. You are behind time.

Love These Boy Shorts Underwear!

Great quality and fit. I was trying to replace boy shorts that are no longer made JMS. Took a chance with Fruit of the Loom and I like them the better than my previous ones. I've washed them twice & they go into the dryer, too, and there has been very minimal shrinkage, if any at all. Impressive for 100% cotton. Strongly recommend. Was waiting to see how these fit, etc. and now I'm going to buy some more. I'm so excited I finally found something after looking for so long. Great value for the price, too.

Ideal after a hip replacement!

I have not previously ever worn "boy-cut" briefs, but I purchased these upon receiving an anterior hip replacement. It was clear that my usual high-cut briefs would basically bisect the incision and irritate it as it was healing. These are comfortable, cute (each package of six has a nice assortment of solid colors and patterns), and they completely covered and protected the incision. Even though it is now healed, I will likely continue to wear them.

I don’t recommend if you prefer low-rise underwear.

Seem to fit larger than my usual size & they’re still a tad cheeky (like my boy shorts from Fruit of the Loom), but then again, I have a good amount of junk-in-my-trunk, so that’s probably to be expected. But, I bought these based on a review that said they covered more backside than boy shorts, but with virtually the same fit. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this to be true. If you prefer more coverage, but still like the lower rise of boy shorts, I’d recommend low-rise briefs.

Not all re-orders are equal. Buyer beware!

My original order of these was wonderful. They were soft and stretchy and didn't have an actual band at the waist. They were the most comfortable panties ever. They came in a plastic baggy type cover. So I went back and ordered another set, same size. The ones that showed up are too small, not stretchy and have a band across the waist. They were also in a box instead of a plastic baggy.I'll keep them, because I needed the extra underwear asap, but buyer beware that you may not get exactly what you ordered. Check your order before you open it up and be prepared to send it back if it's not correct. This has never really happened to me yet in the years I've been ordering through Amazon until now.

Love the bright colours, but the cotton is flimsy and thin, and they sent the wrong size.
