This is a classic half slip, just like the ones I used to buy many years ago. Not microfiber like so many other slips which sticks to your pantyhose (am I the only person still wearing pantyhose these days?!). The material allows your dress to flow nicely, if you happen to have a dress that is not lined.Although I have wide hips and a small waist, this fit me just fine. Yes, the waistband leaves a bit to be desired--it's a very narrow bit of elastic, but it works just fine. I bought the 18" and am hoping to find 16" as well. I'm 5'4 and it's perfect for above the knee dresses, but not much shorter than that on me.

I have ordered vanity fair half slips before and have loved them. I ordered the same slip a few years ago and now this one that I just recently ordered seems to be of alot lesser quality. The material is so thin and the elastic in the waistband gaps and bunches up and does not stay straight. I have worn the slip so I cannot send it back, but I wish I would have sent it back when I first received it. I still like the Vanity Fair brand but this time the product seems alot more inferior and cheaply made with cheaper material than in previous purchases.

The slip is free of unnecessary decoration so it gives your garments a very clean and smooth finish. The slits (one on each side) end above the knee so the slip does not bunch up or twist when you walk. If it helps, I am 5'8" tall and and usually take a size 10 in pants and a 12 in dresses and I ordered the slip in size "Large". The slip ends about 6" above my ankles and the size Large has just enough material to drape nicely over my hips without being clingy or, even worse, too roomy. Like I said, perfect!

I like the slip but Vanity Fair's sizing is different than Vassarette's sizing. I am 123 lbs and I usually wear a size 8 in pants. My waist is about 31 inches. The medium in Vassarette is perfect for me. I feel that the medium Vanity Fair is just a little bit too tight. I should have gotten a large. But I already took the tags off and washed it. Oh well.

Nice length and feels soft but the waist runs a little small I think. I'm petite, 5'4'' just over 100lbs so I ordered the small and it fits snug on my waist, which surprised me since they are women's sizes. I guess it runs a little small in the waist, since I usually have the opposite problem, but it's not uncomfortable. Otherwise it does its job and it's just great. I like the slit on the side.

Yes, dearies, it is still the "keep your dignity and not show reveal your unders" thing to do when you are wearing a long clinging dress that isn't a bodycon. Unless you want the kids, guys, teachers, audience to see your cellulite, your "tattoos by who??cares," and the thong back you wear for the sake of modesty. I know...9 grandgirls and three daughters wiser, plus 1 day at FL Siesta Keys Beach cured me of any ideas that skin=sin, nakedness=naughty. I wear the slip and weigh 125 and still look bangin' ladies!

The dress I am wearing comes just below my knee and I needed a slip that was not too long. The slips I have come an inch below my knee, so I needed a shorter slip. I have purchased and been a long time consumer of Vanity Fair products for 50+ years. Over the past 3-5 yrs have been very disappointed in the decreased quality of their lingerie. The tricot fabric of this 1/2 slip is very filmsy , poor finishing touches and elastic waistband is just not up to former standards.

Completely disappointed! I opened the package to find a piece of tape attached to the back of this slip. Upon further inspection, there was a cut below the tape. This slip was clearly marked as damaged and yet still passed quality control and shipped. For over $23.00 this is a complete disappointment.

purchased the nude half slip and expected it to reach mid-thigh as indicated in the picture, was sent a half slip that ends mid-calf??? (height: 5'5")aside from being sent the wrong item, my waist is 26 inches and the size small fit well, despite expecting it to be too large. slip material feels good as well.overall: it is unfortunate that it was the wrong item, but if it were the length i intended to order, it would've been perfect

Exactly as advertised. I sized up to a medium (I'm usually a small) because of others' reviews, and that was the right call because the medium fits as a small typically would.

I love this slip it fit me very well. I typically wear a size XS and the small was perfect. I do find the waist is a bit snug but not uncomfortable. I have an hourglass shape and could see this possibly not fitting as well on someone that is not as curvy in the waist. For reference I am 5'7 and about 125-130lbs.

Exactly what I needed. I have SO many maxi skirts that are thinner material than I would like. Most of them show underwear lines and I wanted a slip to avoid that. This is lightweight, does not get caught on skirt, perfect length for my maxi skirts. You can't tell I have it on underneath. I feel as though it's true to size, I ordered a large, which normally I am on the bottom. I am 152 pounds and about 5'6" with large bum and hips. I would absolutely recommend.
