Worked for me!

I am 5'3" and weigh about 135 or so, depending on how often we eat out. :) I wanted something to help me look smooth under a nice dress that I bought for Easter --- it worked just like I wanted it too. Also, I'm slightly obsessed with measurements and numbers and exact information. My waist (1 inch above my belly button) was 29 3/4 inches before I put this on and 29 inches (possibly just under that) after I put it on. Which means it subtracted almost an inch from my waist. Not too shabby!

Fit well. Hate the hooks at the crotch. What in the world? If you unhooked them to use the restroom, you would never get them hooked back up. Dumb design.

Rolls itself down because no rubberized strip at the top

This fits great and comfortable. But it does not have the rubberized strip at the top edge to help it stay in place. It tends to roll itself down some so I am adjusting it a lot during the day right below bra line to get it back up and laying flat. It does come with some straps to wrap around the sides of your bra and hook to the spanx, but these come unhooked pretty easily no matter whether the hook opening is faced front or back. Very comfortable material though--I live in Texas and this was comfortable even in our lovely heat and humidity.

NOT firm control, but good to smoothen things out.

First things first, this is not a corset, but a compression brief. This will NOT provide much tummy compression, but will only hold everything in and get rid of the jiggly belly. That's about it. And yes, it has buttons at the crotch, which makes it easier to use the washroom. Since the material is thin, I can use it under my regular jeans.I bought this for post partum wear. (waist 28, hips 39). Also got the Bellefit, which I hated. The Spanx, although does not provide much compression, is easier to put on and off, has no ribs, does not roll down, and is overall comfortable to wear. I used a 3-in-1 postpartum girdle over this and that worked like a charm. I take the girdle off at night and sleep with these spanx and they are comfortable without being constricting or tight. The buttons also did not hurt my post-partum episiotomy stitches.

Amazing ... A must buy!!

This is my first pair of Spanx. I was hesitant, because styles like these usually roll at the top, becoming hugely uncomfortable to wear. Plus they are pricey. When I received I was shocked it was in such a small package and barely weighed anything. Unbelievable as it was it was easy to put on, comfortable, and stayed put all day ... not rolling in front or back!! I will definitely be purchasing more. Worth the money! My dress is a size 16, and according to the chart, the size I should order was a Women's XL. Because I carry most my weight in the abdomen, I decided to go with the plus size 1X . I'm glad I stepped up the size as they fit well. The only thing I don't like is the hook and eye closure in the crotch. I'm thinking they really don't need that?

Rolls Down

This constantly rolled down on me. It did sculpt when it was staying up. I measured myself and bought the size according to the size chart. Never stayed up. Very disappointed.

ITS OKAY BUT NOT A DRASTIC DIFFERENCE

I am five ft five inches 150 lbs and need something to help me look slimmer as I continue to lose weight. I was hoping for a full sculpting and slimming effect since this is a brand you hear about on celebs using for red carpets. I measure my waist before and after trying this on. It reduced my stomach protrusion by 1 inch. So nothing drastic, but it does actually do something to you. It does smooth your tummy out and make you feel secure and tucked in. I will keep it since it does actually reduce my tummy by one inch. However I think the level of scupture I want can only be done by a corset. BTW the button crotch is barely noticeable and I was able to slide it down easily.

Makes me feel smoother when I'm trying to be FANCY.

I enjoy this womanly anti-fat contraption! It helps put my stomach flub in place, and narrows my waist/silhouette just a bit.Don't expect miracles, and don't expect that it can help you fit into a garmet that's too small for you, but it's great to have a little helping hand and structure under a dress to suck in my flub just that extra bit. Also, feels GREAT for the back and to help my posture. It DOES roll down a tiny bit, but not all the way down, and not far enough that I would stop wearing it. It's just a minor annoyance.I'm 5"5 and 140 and Medium JUST fits. I expect if I go up to 145 or above, this size wouldn't work for me.Gussetted/hook and eye crotch makes bathrooming a little easier.

I'm usually a size 10/12 and brought 12/14 after reading other reviews. Any smaller & it would not have pulled up over my thighs. I'm 5'4" & 9.5 stones. Not overweight. So this item does come up small. The body though was too long and folded over at the top under my boobs. The product smooths my silhouette but no great reduction in my tummy which is where I have the issue. Expensive compared to M&S Magic Knickers of a similar design but cost under £30.00. I have 2 pairs of Magic Knickers and would say they are just as good as the Spanx of a similar long line knicker design. I brought those in a size 12. Spanx not a bad product but save yourself some money and go to M&S. You're paying for the Spanx brand name in my opinion,

Very good at sucking you in and smoothing you out. Only negative is that it can roll down a bit which can be annoying, the tiny straps you get with it that you have to hook around your bra are useless.

Absolutely awful, rolls down even though I got the right size. I bought it for under a dress and actually made me look fatter. I think these things are designed by and for slim women with a little tummy. If so don't make them in a size 16 and sell a lie
