Vanity Fair Should Be Ashamed to Sell this Product

First of all, that weird little decorative waistband curls up so badly you can't even smooth it out after one wear. But worst of all is the crotch. Vanity Fair makes quality products. They used to have slip shorts on Amazon that were the best on the market but, of course, they are gone. This product has no panel in the crotch, just a seam. You cannot make snug fitting shorts with no crotch panel. To make it even worse, the liner is a very small bizarre diamond shaped thing with one stitch at the corners. Since there is no crotch panel and because the fabric is loose, that liner cannot possibly stay put. It curls up in your crotch. These things were so uncomfortable and irritating I threw them in the trash. It felt like someone picked me up by a thong. I was seriously concerned that I would get an infection if I wore them. Vanity Fair knows all of this but are unloading this crap on Amazon. My experience with shoes and clothing on Amazon is that these companies are selling irregulars and rejects. I am so angry that I wasted my money. I can't exchange them because I wore them for 10 damn minutes. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!
These are the best

I love these slip shorts. My comfort level goes way up if I have these on under my skirts and dresses, especially in the summer or when a lot of walking is involved. I won't say they smooth any thing they cover but they stay in place and are breathable as well as durable. They can be machine washed and dried with like materials. They are not see through though you shouldn't expect them to be thick enough to wear as shorts. I personally have always had thick upper thighs at any weight and these are like a pair of long panties to me. I think that is the intention of the designer. Also cam be used as a slip or under a slip due to the lack of pantylines being there. They are not tight at the thigh, they are properly snug and dont dent at thigh or waist. I've been wearing these for few years now and I find Vanity Fair to be the best for me.
Runs Small

These are great slip shorts. As others have said, theyâre not âslimmingâ, but they do add nice support and glide with tighter fitting dresses (and no chub rub). Iâve hand washed and line dried mine many times with no problems. My only issue is these run small. I normally wear a size 6 underwear (medium in clothing) and I have to order an XL in these. Even the large is waaay too tight around the waist. Maybe itâs just me as others feel these fit true to size, but I have the same problem with Vassarette slip shorts (which are identical to these). So long as you know you may have to exchange for a larger size, go for it!
Uncomfortable and unflattering
Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2020
It was small for me, and the lace wait and really dug into my skin. I wanted to use these as shorts under a white dress I was wearing to a beach wedding in case the wind picked up my skirt. They are completely see through, and have an uncomfortable seam in the middle that is problematic. I would not recommend.
Definitely NOT seamless

The shorts are super comfortable and basically seamless EXCEPT for the band. The band doesn't really stretch and hits right on the wide part of my hips so it's extremely unflattering and uncomfortable
It rolls

After wearing them for about an hour, it started to roll from both sides. Super annoying.
