These little bralettes look good underneath a button-up shirt but they donât offer a lot of support. In fact I had to wear a bra under the bralette or it wouldnât have worked. Looked cute but wasnât terribly comfortable. Oh well!

This top is so cute and great for summer. The fabric is great and you donât need to wear with a bra. Iâm going to buy AT LEAST one more. Highly recommend.

Well well well.... I was really losing hope on finding a bra from American apparel that would fit me properly, but I am glad to say that this cut is the bomb! I tried the wrap style bras, and was spilling out of them; but miraculously this bra fits me great with no spillage, no surprises, and fantastic support!! I love the thick band under the bust, although its mostly for aesthetic, I think the extra fabric really provides a teensy bit of support and prevents it from moving around. The fabric is nice and soft, a woven breathable cotton like material. It is fairly dainty, but still has the seamless adjustable straps on the back. Love it and Iâm so happy I found a bra that is perfect for wearing underneath sweaters this fall! I also appreciate that this bra is cut with room for the bust, so it fits more appropriately for anyone with a larger chest. This is a big yes for me, I would recommend this to anyone that wants a soft, low profile, simple Bralette for all seasons.
Not a great top

I did not know that this top had underwire styled ribbing...which is not super flattering. Itâs also pretty see through so I would not recommend wearing it without something underneath....which is also tough because of the style. The edges are tighter than the overall material and itâs not super soft. Overall just not a great top at all, especially for the price.

Three stars for just "okay". This bralette was a good idea but not executed as well as it could have been. The material is okay but nothin special, I like the seam under the cup as I was hoping it might get my daughter used to the feel and start to prepare her for an underwire some day, and I have been wanting to get her away from so many padded bralettes, plus she likes long line bralettes. But sadly this one just didn't hit the mark. First off, the straps are really long, and yes they are adjustable, but it took several adjustments and in the end she had to really cinch them to get this to fit properly and she said they were uncomfortable, maybe because of how skinny they are, or the material, not sure why. Next, overall sizing. According to the sizing chart my daughter is an XS with this company, but when you combine an XS and S together into one size someone is going to lose out, and in this case it is the XS, it was not snug enough around the rib cage. American should have just done separate sizes for all sizes instead of combing them. Considering this was not made in the USA and there isn't anything special about this bralette it is just not worth $22 either, I'd rather spend more on a Free People bralette.

Oh man, I generally hate bras with a passion because I don't really NEED them, so these bralettes are absolutely perfect for me. It supports but didn't suffocate, and it BREATHED. The fabric is breathable and I cannot emphasize how awesome that is when you work in a hot, humid environment and you sweat like crazy. I have nipple rings as well, so this is a bit of a specific anecdote, but it's really comfortable with them. Some bralettes or bras have a tendency to mush them into the boob and it can get kinda painful and chafe. This saved me from that and I'm eternally grateful. It's really cute as well, which definitely is a win. I need a few more of these in different colors.
