I usually buy larger than recommended

I'm not a big fan of elastic, especially elastic bands or any product that might roll. After reading other reviews I decided to buy 3 different sizes because of this. I'm 175 lbs and 5'2" and 70 yrs old and thought the 1X might just be for me, but I also bought the XL and L just in case. The 1X turned out to be perfect for me... not too difficult to pull up and very comfy once on. I've never had anything like it and I love it! I may not look that much better, but I feel better in it. It will be even better after I lose 10 more lbs... I'm on my way!

So glad I ordered this! I have the higher power short and this works so much better! It stays up and smooths out everything. I purchased my regular size and it went on easily. It is super comfortable and worth the money. Get it, you won't regret it.

Wish there was more waist compression.

I have pretty extreme measurements and had to fit this to my hips. The goal was looking smooth in a pencil skirt and this accomplished it. I wish there was more waist compression in this as I have a 24" difference between my waist and hip measurements and the compression in the waist was just enough to not sag. I reached out to SPANX customer service to ask if I had the right sizing or for other product suggestions and they also didn't really know how to fit me or what products to suggest. According to their size charts my hips are too wide for their 3X and my waist is an XL.. There are two full sizes in between... there has to be some options.I do want to say that Spanx as far as feel are more comfortable than any other shape wear I have worn!

Great job making me feel secure in what I was wearing! At first I thought there was no way I’d get it up past my hips, but after an inch up like when you put on pantyhose, the fit was great! A little chaffing on my arms from pit to shoulder, but not enough to bother me. Im 5’7”, 300 lb, and size 24.

Go Down a Size?

CP

I typically wear 2X-3X clothing so ordered 2X in the open-bust spanx as well. It was quite soft and comfortable, but I probably should have gone down a size. It was very easy to get on, not typical of Spanx, but the 2X doesn't provide as much compression as I expected. I do like this item but would recommend going down a size.

Spanx have gone downhill.

Spanx have sadly gone downhill. In their quest to be more lightweight, they have sacrificed compression. These On Core were supposed to be the strongest compression available, but aren't even as good as my old basic Spanx from years ago. The panels that are meant to target your tummy are seemingly designed for taller women... on me it didn't hit the right spots at all.

the cheaper one is better

I own the Spanx that are about 20$ cheaper and I actually prefer those. These ones don't work any better. However, these ones have adjustable straps (that are still too small for bigger busts) and the flap to go pee is better designed. For me personally, those 2 things aren't worth the extra money.
