Both Too Big and Too Small

I'm 5'5, 230lbs, 44DD. I've never ordered a bra of this style before, but was hoping this would have a slimming effect on me. The cup size ended up being too large, making it such that my shirts didn't lay smoothly across my chest. I returned the DD and ordered a D. It fits much better, but it's still not comfortable.The pics I've included are me wearing the 44D. As you can see, the waist rolls up rather easily (perhaps this is due to a still-improper fit?). However, when it's not rolled up, it doesn't appear to be too small. I wish the sides came up higher and kept me from spilling out so much under the arms. The lined/reinforced ribs give much needed added support, but can also contribute to the bra being uncomfortable. The cup shape isn't cone-like (no Madonna here), and I like that it opens/closes in the front. It's also a very pretty bra with nice detailed lace.I've since ordered a 46D and a 48D -- waiting for them to arrive. I like this bra well enough to go to the trouble of trying to figure out which size fits best, and that's saying a lot.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE: The 48D was too big in every respect. The 46D fit better around the waist, but suddenly the cups were too big and didn't support me correctly. I found my girls literally siding out of the bottom of the cup. So I've returned both of these.I'm tempted to try a 46C (I haven't worn a C-cup in over 20 years!), but at this point, I'm getting frustrated.

I followed the advice I found here, and ordered two sizes larger in band size (from a 38 to a 42), and one cup size smaller (from a D to a C). The bra fits fine, and I don't know if I will ever wear a 'regular' bra again; I haven't worn one since I bought these long lines. An extra thing I did pick up, is some pads to put in the front of the bra to create a smoother front. The bra has no padding in the cups to 'disguise' other attributes, if you know what I mean.What makes the bra so comfortable is that you don't feel like your bust is dead weight hanging around your neck like a pair of gym shoes tied together with shoelaces. The weight of the bust is lifted up and supported by the boning in the torso of the bra, instead of hanging from your shoulders. And the back of the bra covers your whole back, so there are no fat rolls bulging out around the bra band. And there is no bra band to feel like it is 'hitching up,' making you want to go hide at work behind a row of file cabinets so you can tug it back into place. At the end of the day, your back and shoulders feel just as good as they did in the morning when you got dressed because you haven't been supporting that dead weight with your shoulders all day long.I used to always wear a camisole under my tops, even t-shirts, to help smooth out bulges and rolls created by my bra. I don't need to do that now, because this bra smooths everything out all on its own.The boning is not totally rigid; it is flexible enough to bend where you need it to bend. It provides support, but doesn't dig and gouge your skin. And if your breasts tend to stick out to the sides and get in the way of your arms, this bra helps push everything to the front where it is supposed to be. I also found that the point of my bust line is higher wearing this long line bra than with my regular bras, which makes my finished appearance more attractive.The front closure isn't visible under my clothes. I guess it might be if I wore something stretchy and form fitting, but I don't wear those types of tops now anyway so that's not an issue for me.I would buy this product again. Actually, I already have!

Great product and fit for the price!. No padding in the cups so just right for summer. Pulls in and slims. Cup size is just like my regular bra. As a tip, start from the lower end and go up. When you get to the last 4 hooks up top, bend over and let the breast fall into and fill the cups, as you hook up the last 4. Holds you up nicely. Be aware though that shoulder straps are fixed and not adjustable, this would have been the only change I would make to this product.

I am a 36DD and ordered the 36C. The cup fits perfectly without pokiness/crinkling through shirts. The waist portion is snug and provides a nice silhouette without rolling up or resulting in a large pooch at the bottom of the undergarment. This helps minimize the appearance of the breast size allowing me to fit into tops that are snug on top without looking like I'm oozing out. It does make the breasts slightly conical but as i mentioned before, it's not pokey looking. Improves cleavage and lift. Good support on the shoulders and back. I wear this regularly at work, under blouses and it has been holding up well. Very satisfied. Will buy again.

Me: 5'10" Size 14/16. Underbust 38in, Bust 46in. Waist 40in. Ordered a size 42D. Typically wear a 38DDD in "normal bra sizing."Bra: Only one row of hooks, pain to first get on. Doesn't go as close to the arm as I expected to cover sideboob. A bit long in the back for my short torso creating a bit of a buldge in the boning from my hip. Tuck the hips forward to avoid this. The fabric of the cups is practically at my neck, wish it was a bit less full coverage in the cups which was perfectly on point for the size of my breasts.Verdict: If you have nipples that point up, look no further than this Madonna 50's style bra! Personally, it is rather pointy, but yet it makes my boobs look the most natural... So am I calling this one a win. I took this for a spin today and I am in love. Seriously didn't know a wire free bra could be so supportive! I have seriously never felt so comfortable other than the fabric practically at my neck...

I'm sure I read a review that said that this cam up small so get a larger size to your normal one, so I got a bigger size and it is way to large for me. I think it would have been nice if it had fitted me well. I will advise anyone buying this to go for their normal bra size.

it was not what I expected: too tight round the waist, cup size very large, fastening hooks are clearly exposed wearing tight clothes, impossible to wear. In addition you loose £3 when return!!!

Dear Sir/Madam, I am sorry to be a bit late with my review, this was because of me being out of the country for a while. I am not happy with the item, it is too small in the front, I did asked for size 38 DD but it seems as if the item was incorrectly labeled. I found great difficulty in fastening it at the front, the cups are okay but it seems as if another 2" would be required in order to make a fit.ThanksSylvester.

Absolutely excellent!!!!!Worth the money. Great fit. Possibly I bought a cup size to big. But thatâs my problem. I highly recommend this bra. It makes me look like I have a small waist. And being a front fastening bra easier to put on. I will definitely be buying another two.Thanks
