Disappointing

I was incredibly disappointed with this product. I ordered these because I bought several pairs of Jockey Elance Hipsters last year and found them to be the best underwear I'd ever owned. I loved the smoothness of the fabric and adored the way the elastic was smoothly covered with the same fabric. Recently I tried to buy more from the same source, which no longer carried them, so I ordered from Amazon. Unfortunately, today's Jockey Elance Hipsters are no longer the same product. The fabric has changed and is no longer smooth and silky. Instead, it's a rough cotton knit. Worse, the fabric covering the elastic is now gathered, which means it doesn't lie flat like it did on last year's model. The panties are still comfortable, but not what I wanted, which Jockey apparently doesn't make anymore.

Elance underwear from Jockey has been my panty of choice for over 15 yrs. 100% cotton with all elastic covered is still my preference, and this underwear line does not disappoint. I was hesitent to order as some of reviews talked about a change in the quality. What I received was high quality and proportioned as advertised. I did order wrong, however. I realized after receiving the underwear that I had ordered "Hipsters". I had wanted the "Bikini" style. Hipsters are higher on the hip and cover part of the abdomen. I'm keeping them, but have since ordered the Bikini cut. There are several styles/cuts to the Elance line -- make sure you check to get the one that suits your body type.

Hi! These are really nice and the fit is good. I use to be a Hanes & Fruit of the Loom gal. The Jockey brand washes & dries well. Also, I try my best to buy jeans that sit at the waist. Sometimes I end up buying jeans that sit slightly below the waist. I know, too much info. These hipsters are perfect for me & my slightly below the waist jeans.

Very disappointed looked like they donât even know the cloth must be laid a certain way before cutting.The panties were crooked and and pull and stitch in places where it shouldnât be.I could just cry over what theyâve done to What was a good product. I loved it when the product was inspected back in the day before it even left the manufacture.I returned it this panties theyâre not wearableI sent them back.Jockey is good name. A Perfect 100% Cotton Fit

I've been a Jockey for Women fan and customer for many years. While I love the feel of the microfiber panty, this panty made of 100% natural fiber cotton breathes. I'd been the same size panty for at least 20 years. During these last 6 months while caring for my husband, I've put on a bit more weight. I usually don't put much faith in size charts because every manufacturer's garment ease is different. I took a chance on the size I ordered being a good fit and it was almost as if it was custom made just for me. I'm very pleased and will be re-ordering this panty.
Grandma briefs, not hipsters

I was very hopeful about these after reading positive reviews, but I didnât like them at all. For one thing, they fit like briefs, not hipsters, coming up almost to my bellybutton! Also, he covered elastic is gathered giving them a bulky waist. I used to love the Hanes Comfortsoft hipsters, but they changed them and I still canât find another hipster panty I like. Definitely not these!
Thick seams, buns hang out, search for good underwear continues

I currently cannot find any underwear I like. Hanes used to make my favorite underwear in the whole world - 100% cotton with covered elastic, but they don't make them anymore and so I keep looking. I found these Jockey Elance underwear- seemed to have good ratings- about double the cost- must be better? Not sure where good ratings come from. I ordered size 5, I am 5'4" 115lbs. I usually wear size 6 Hanes. I do not think the size I ordered was too small because these Jockeys still had bagginess in the seams and fabric on me. The waist on the "hipster" Jockey is where most regular cut briefs would fall on my waist, it is certainly high enough for me. The waistband comes up much higher in the front than the back, which seems a little opposite of what it should be.I really hate how these Jockey undies fit on the butt, when I pull on the underwear, the seam fits under my butt cheeks where they should be, but after a short time, my butt cheeks hang out the bottom of the back of these underwear- not bad like a wedgie, but combined with thick elastic, the division of my butt cheek by the seam of these underwear really shows in my work pants and looks horrible.The covered elastic (the reason I bought these in the first place) would be nice if it wasn't so bunchy and thick, there is also extra fabric that bunches around the seams. Because the seams are thick and ride up on my butt cheeks, they are not comfortable to sit on. You can see in the photo how nice and flat the Hanes seams and fabric are (blue and pink colored ones). In addition to the butt issue, the Jockey side seams are thick and right where my dress pants side seams fall, and so dig in. Hanes have much better seam placement than these Jockey underwear.In the photos, the Jockey underwear are the beige ones in both photos. The one photo shows how the back of the jockey underwear (beige) has less fabric coverage of your lower butt cheeks, the underwear underneath are how Hanes are cut much better, you can also compare thickness of seams. The blue underwear are the new Hanes, which have a wide comfy waistband (shown in photo), but around the legs, the new Hanes the elastic is not covered with fabric and unfortunately irritates my skin. So- sorry Jockey, you get a bad review despite high hopes. Hanes- if you are reading this, your underwear would be perfect if you would just put fabric over the elastic like you used to. Unfortunately I am still on the lookout for good cotton underwear.

What I really wanted was the Elance supersoft in black but I can't get them in black in quantity. These are fine. Jockey has always been my go-to.
