Ugly and not for wearing under lightweight tops

Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2016

When I buy bras, I examine the picture carefully to make sure there isn't a seam across the nipple. I am very particular about this because those seams always pucker up and look horrible under my shirts. And it isn't because the cup size is too big.Based on the pictures, I thought this bra met my criteria. I was disgusted when I tried it on and saw how puckered it was. That is when I looked inside the cup and saw that it does have a seam.Another problem with this bra is that it makes my breasts poke out into a pointy shape, much like Madonna's bra in the 90's.I think the fabric would feel stiff and uncomfortable after wearing this bra all day. I don't know, though, because I will not wear it.

A Great Bra

Abner's Mother

Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2016

I've been wearing this bra on and off (it will now be on always) for years. I don't think bra manufacturers realize that there really are people who aren't trying to minimize--they're already minimized and wear a size A cup! You go through a bra catalog and you can count the number of bras on one hand with a size A as an option. I try other bras and they don't work so I am back to stay with this great fitting Playtex Cross Your Heart. I just wish they came in black especially, but some other colors, too. Playtex PLEASE do not stop making these bras! The price is especially good at Amazon and especially, especially good with PRIME! Thank you Playtex, thank you Amazon.

Is There A Minus Icon We Could Use?

I had to give this ONE star and that is being way too generous! This is the absolute WORST bra I've ever purchased. It wasn't worth it to ship it back because of the restocking fee etc.. so I kept it.If you want ITCH, this bra is for you!If you want the WRONG SIZE BAND, this bra is for you!If you want SMALL CUPS, this bra is for you!Unfortunately, this bra was not for me.I usually buy the Playtex 4210 and decided I would try to go up one size to see if I would get a better fit after reading how to properly take measurements. It appeared that my bra size could be incorrect. So I bought a size up and yet, this piece of doo-doo fits smaller than my normal bra. The material is an itch-fest and I'm just sorry that I wasted my money!!!! I want my $11.00 back!I wish Playtex would make bigger C sizes in the 4210...

Seem Like the Same Ones

So I got several of these in 34A...the fit is the same as the old ones I have (and I mean OLD...they've been in and out of use in my drawers since the 90s!) Material seems similar, they're gloriously bright white, and sadly there is still some room left over in the cups, but that's every brand/model/fit I've ever tried on, so not marking them down over that. I wish they were also available in a nude shade, but such is life.Anyway, I hope this helps if anyone else is looking for the bra like they found in high school, it's just an everyday keep-it-all-together bra, very simple, but that's the beauty of it for me.

Playtex 0655 cross your heart bra wirefree

I normally wear 32C but I've found I need a 34C with style 0655it is very sturdy verses many bras that are rather flimsysuperior supportsuperior elastic-so much flimsy elastic out thereelastic straps with the adjustment in front as shownit is very slightly pointy--I have to use bra cup inserts in all my bras to cover-for years I have not been able to find the kind I started with decades ago--I bought the Smart Cups Bra Insert Women's Round Sport Yoga... they are round and hard and so the "pointy part" is baggy and I cannot wear under knitsI also with they would make this in off whiteThis is the first non wired bra I've had in decades and I find it has superior support to the underwire brasI will continue to look for the perfect "flexible" bra cup liner that might allow me to wear this under knits [I bought some thin flexible ones that slid around in my bra]

Like Pillow Protectors for Your Chest

Raye

Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2020

After thoroughly exploring the world of modern bras, I've decided to revisit some classic fits. I've been on a period drama kick lately and all the pointy cups under form-fitting '50s sweaters have made me wonder if I too can pull off this look. The Playtex Cross Your Heart series is one I remember from being a teenager though I never tried it. It has an element of nostalgia to it, and I snagged one off Amazon to try at an extremely cheap price.I knew this would be an inexpensive soft bra made of poly/nylon that fits differently from wired modern bras, but what I didn't expect was to get this hideous thing that feels like wearing pillow protectors over your chest pillows. Seriously, it's difficult to imagine what a padded polyester bra with fiberfill cups would feel like until you have put one on your body. Even though it's winter, this didn't feel right on me, and I couldn't imagine wearing this during normal ambient temperatures.I am normally 28E/30DD, 26.8" underbust, 33.5" bust.Measurements of this bra in 32C:Band: 25.2" unstretchedCup width: 5.1"Cup depth: 7.1"Cup height: 7.1"As far as fit goes, I was debating between ordering 32B and 32C, but couldn't find much info on sizing. I went with a hunch that vintage fits run large in the cup, and sure enough they did, but having determined through thorough testing that I can in no way, shape, or form ever wear a 32B, I went with the 32C which is at least closer to a sister size. By modern standards, this cup is pretty big, but I found that the cup width, depth, and height worked on my larger side. The problem was the shape, as I don't have the kind of conical tissue this bra requires to fill out the very pointy, very full center of the cup. It more or less gave the appearance of the orange-in-a-glass effect. I think this bra is designed for women with either a conical shape or soft tissue that can be molded into the cup shape. Firmer and shallower breasts are not going to be able to fill the center of the cup, leaving a sad, deflated center instead of pointy mounds. This bra is not going to help me achieve the '50s sweater fantasy.Band size seems to run pretty true to a 32, and thankfully the elastic of both the bands and straps is wide and powerful. There's a heavy-duty 3 hook fastener at the back, and the band was decently supportive despite being two size too big for me. I appreciate the fully adjustable straps though personally detest sliders on the front.I actually like the vintage cross-front construction and lace trimmed cups, however the polyester cups and plain exposed elastic makes the bra look incredibly cheap. It looks like a bad prototype made from available materials, not like an actual consumer product. The photos made this bra look plain, but in person it just dumbfounds me. Perhaps the vintage Cross Your Heart bras are worth a try, and I'm not totally giving up, but this is my first and last bra-in-a-box.
