This item is an almost perfect slimming undergarment. I love the metal boning that is added to help the girdle from rolling down. Unfortunately, after a couple of wears the metal "plates" start to rip through the "pockets" that hold them in place. Easily fixable, though, in that one can just quickly sew them back in place. What would make this girdle perfect is if the ribbed reinforcement part of the girdle - that ends right in the middle of the stomach area leaving a "pooch" sticking out at the bottom part of your stomach - would extend lower (closer to the crotch area) to actually hold in the WHOLE stomach area (the upper AND lower parts of the stomach). If the company can improve on the product in these 2 simple ways, it would be the PERFECT stomach slimmer.

Don't really work as anti chafing shorts because they keep going up your legs all the time. The material is comfortable, but if you are buying to use as anti chafing shorts they will not work well. Perhaps if you add a silicon anti-slip band to each of the legs it might work.

I expected it to have a tighter tummy, but was pleasantly surpised at how well it held without a pouch!

This is a great pair of underwear. I highly recommend them. They are so comfortable and the fabric is a good quality weave and appears strong. Tummy control isn't great but they are very very comfortable. I'm not sure that the crotch area is cotton, but it does breath very well. I would buy them again.
