It's incredibly beautiful and well-made

This bra is a work of art. It's incredibly beautiful and well-made, but with one fatal flaw - it's impossible to get on without a maid's servant (yeah right) or (more likely) a partner to help you. The back lace has these tiny slits to join the hooks of the lace to the bra. In order to put it on, as the lace isn't stretchy at all, you need someone to dress you. It's impossible to get the hooks into a slit you can't feel or see behind your back. I've tried several configurations, but I can't seem to get it on by myself! That being said, it's too beautiful with a one-of-a-kind feeling to give up. Let's just hope my partner is always around to dress me - and I'll give up on the fun of surprising him with it.

Beautiful bra! It is somewhat difficult to get into, but stays put. It looks great under a light tank top!

I love the bra, beautiful and comfortable but difficult to get on and remove. I accidentally ordered the wrong size and they didn't have another to replace and wish they did but I believe item is being discontinued. -(. EXCELLENT customer service. 4.5 ***

A little piece of seductive indulgence

A middle aged girl's gotta do what she's gotta do...not cheap, but definitely sexy and worth the splurge. HAF (husband appreciation factor) is high on this one. Under sweats or finest evening wear, I feel like a princess in this little piece of finery.

Unique strap configuration for convertible bra

I wear a 28F UK or 28DDDD/G US, but in Simone Perele, a 30E on the tightest band hook/eye works for me, with the exception of this particular Simone Perele style. For some reason, the bra cups run very small and when placed side-by-side with my other SP Andora 3D moulded cup bras in size 30E, look about 2 cup sizes smaller. I was willing to try a 30F but that size isn’t available because SP no longer makes this particular style. The cups technically are full cup (not Demi or Balconette) but run small and have a low apex so those with higher breast tissue may feel too exposed. The cups are lightly lined for modesty and don’t have a lot of extra padding. Aside from black, I couldn’t really see the other color which turned out to be ice-blue, not silver. The cups are seamless and supported by underwire and a full band construction, which makes this bra virtually undetectable under a t-shirt, and the top line of the side wings runs even with the top of the center gore or bridge so you feel supported evenly in the front, sides, and back. There is a 2-hook 3-column hook and eye closure at the tapered end of the band measuring 1.25 inches/ 3 cm wide. The way shoulder straps attach to this bra is unusual. Unlike typical shoulder straps that have g-hooks on both ends, these shoulder straps have g-hooks only on one end and an open loop on the other end where you’d expect to see another g-hook. Instead of 2 open loops at the front of the bra, this bra has 2 g-hooks sewn at the top of each cup (hidden by the floral embellishment). Instead of 2 open loops at the back of the bra, there are 4 tiny slot openings that run along the top edge of the band on each side of the hook-and-eye closure. This unique configuration allows you to wear the bra with the black straps and pyramid-shaped embroidered lace panel or only the black straps themselves. (Shoulder straps you already own will not work with this bra unless you modify them.)As others have noted, it’s not easy or quick to put on this bra because of all of the connecting parts. I found it worked best if I separated the bra from its attachments before putting anything on my body. I put on the bra backwards with the hook-and-eye closure facing front like I would put on a strapless bra. Next, I connected the black shoulder straps to the embellished panel by hooking the strap g-hooks into the open loops at the top of the panel. Then, I took the g-hooks at the bottom corners of the panel (with the bra still on backwards) and slipped each hook end into one of the slip pockets hidden along the top edge of the bra band. Once I have these securely attached, I turn the bra around my torso until the cups face front, letting the loose front ends of the shoulder strap dangle freely below my rear-end. Then, I do the “scoop and swoop” to get a good fit in the front cups and finally, reach behind to grab the loose ends of shoulder straps, swing them around to the front and attach them to the bra. (I like to position the strap slider in front instead of the back so it’s easy to adjust the strap length.)Quality-wise, the bra materials and detailed embroidery along the underband and center gore are what you’d expect from a high-end lingerie brand like Simone Perele. At the time of purchase, size 30E was priced at $91.04, a fraction of the original retail price, but sadly, I ended up returning this bra because of the too-small cup fit.
