Almost exactly as the picture shows (minus the shiny aging). Looking forward to the aging process as well. As a leatherworker myself and looking at the detail, itâs very good. Upon opening the plastic bag it came in there was a distinct "farm" smell...hayloft if you will, that took a while to dissipate (after two weeks there is still a hint if I stick my nose in the bag). But it is worth it. I am carrying two 17" laptops in the bag right now and several folders. There are two divisions in the main bag providing three excellently sized areas, another zippered area inside the bag, and two zippered areas one on either side of the large dimensioned area. One pocket on the front with TWO rivets on the strap (not the one shown in the pic) and a pocket on either end (again with two rivets on the straps).I expect to be using this bag 20-30 years from now, both due to quality and looks. Now that I have been using for a few weeks, if I knew what I know now, I would have most definitely had no hesitations in making this purchase.

The leater quality is good and it has a nice modern look. Packaging was very good. Unfortunately, the craftsmanship is lacking. The stitching was separated unpon arrival and the inside leather trim had significant shading issues. See the picture below.
Stitching quality could greatly improve.

Overall, the quality of the leather is great. It has that authentic cow-hide smell and seems like the leather will last. However, the stitching and interior material used for the bag may not uphold. I had to return the bag due to the defective stitching, which is illustrated in the photographs. There were several key spots that the maker had trouble while stitching, some with leather and leather attachments or leather and zipper attachment. The dye, or rather polish that everyone is referring to does rub on to your clothing.You can't beat the price but something as simple as poor stitching will result in the bag breaking. I am also concerned at the handle at the top as that may not last with time.

Great well made bag. It fits my 17.3" gaming laptop fine. The external pouches are a bit small to be very useful IMO but as a whole this is a great bag with lots of internal room. Highly recommended.ONE WEEK UPDATE: One of the clasps on the strap that came with it broke out of the blue. Also after some use there is a slight design flaw, there is not enough slack on the hooks where the strap clasps clip on so they always catch on the cover of the bag which either tends to unhook them or the clasp dig into the edge of the cover.

I bought this bag for my boyfriend for Christmas and he LOVED it. He's had his old leather bag that he's kept for 5 years because he is SO picky with his leather goods and this bag DID NOT DISAPPOINT. He's had it for less than a month now and has gotten so many compliments on it. It is VERY well made and the Handmade_World customer service is WONDERFUL. When I first got the bag there was a problem with the strap. It didn't seem like a quality problem more than it was just a tiny defect (one of the clasp had broken in half). I really didn't want to return it because it was honestly the perfect bag. So I contacted the buyer and received a new strap within a week. I would definitely order from them again.As for the actual product, it comes flat in a box. Like new leather, it is stiff. So I stuffed the bag and left it stuffed for about a week and it really started to get it's own shape. The lining in the actual bag is green and obviously well stitched. I got the biggest size (18") bc my boyfriend is a 6 foot tall guy so I figured on him it wouldn't look bulky or big at all. It looked perfect versus on me (5ft) it was HUGE. The buckles are functional (not magnets) which is what he prefers. It's really super roomy bag that fits his laptop, lots of cords and wires, and journals. He tours for a living and I think this bag will stand all the traveling that he does.Definitely would buy from handmade_world again!

Ok, the bag arrived right on time, even though it was out of stock when I've ordered it. I've placed my order on Saturday, was warned that the bag will be in stock by Monday and I will be able to receive it by Wednesday(I have Prime). Actually I did not expect it to be in stock in 2 days and was ready for a late shipping if at all. To my surprise the bag was in stock on Monday as promised, and so was my shipment. I took about a week, or so, picking a bag. As you can imagine there is a ton of leather bags on Amazon, and it took me that long to sift through the choices and the feedbacks. I picked this bag and I knew that I will need to moisturize the bag with some leather oil. So I've purchased a bottle of "Leather Honey Conditioner" at the same time I've ordered my bag. The bag looked very good when it arrived, but it did look like it could use a moisturizer. The feedbacks have mentioned that in order for me to avoid the problem of the leather cracking, I will have to spend some time conditioning it. I have been doing so for two days now. After the first two coats the leather took on a darker hue which, actually, made it look even better. The bag was really dry, and still absorbs the conditioner almost immediately. It practically dries right in front of your eyes. I was impatient and have started using the bag right the next day. After the conditioning the leather became softer, and after coming from work the next day I've applied a few more coats. I'll use it over the weekend, and will give it a few more coats before Monday. I believe it should be sufficient. If there are any news in a near future, I'll update my review. Over all I am very happy with my purchase so far.
