I am ecstatic with this product. Fits just liked the $80 one from David's Bridal! Nice and poofy after some fluffing out. I'm planning on steaming it and letting it air dry (as instructed by the manufacturer) to poof it out more.A previous bad review stated that this product was too scratchy, but they must have had it inside-out. Mine was shipped inside out, and the outside of the fabric is sparkly, see-through, and quite itchy (see photos). BUT there is an inside layer that is more opaque, and is very smooth and not scratchy at all!As far as sizing, I am 5'6", 150 lbs, size 6/8, and I ordered the small/medium. Fits me great. I will say, if you're super tall, it might be a bit short for you. It hits right at my waist line which is where I wanted it, with the hem about 2 inches off the ground. If you're closer to 5'8 or 5'10, you'll have to put it down on your hips.

Excellent product. I ordered L-XL. I have a 39 inch waist. Fit perfect. The double layer tulle is twice the fullness of any other slip I have ever ordered. I needed for a mermaid pageant gown. Way surpassed my expectation. Highly recommend.

Iâm still giving it 5 stars even though the small is too big. My daughter is 5â5â and a size zero and Iâm going to have to take this in a few inches. HOWEVER... for the price itâs well worth it. The dress shop wanted $100 for the same thing.The slip gives the perfect amount of poof without the stiffness of other slips with a hoop. Adding this slip under her dress and 3â heels also made it so her dress doesnât need to be hemmed... so thatâs $$ saved. Some people commented on it smelling... I didnât notice an odor. But if yours does smell just wash it. There were comments on it being itchy. Hereâs why - the slip is inside out when you open it. You have to flip it when you get it and it wonât be itchy at all. If you want the extra poof to your mermaid/fishtail gown this is exactly what youâre looking for.

I purchased this to use under a feather bottom prom dress. The dress had built in tulle under it but it was not enough to give the bottom the fullness I was looking for. It did arrive promptly and is exactly as pictured but it is not to be used if you desire a full bottom. It gives a slight flare but the material is not sturdy enough to hold heavy fabrics. This would suit something thin that only needs a slight flare. It for well enough but runs kind of large so Iâd size down. The material of the top skirt is thin and stretchy. Overall Iâm satisfied.

This petticoat is well-made and has just the right "pouf" for my trumpet style gown. The top is soft and comfortable with a bit of stretch. The bottom is two layer of stiff fabric with satin ribbon edge binding to prevent the petticoat from going flat or catching on itself and a nice lining against your legs to prevent any itch or snags on your hose. Be aware that this petticoat ships inside out the same as a wedding gown does to protect it from snags. Flip it the right way and straighten it out. Steam it for additional pouf. Great value, great product...I recommend it for trumpet gowns. However, if you have a mermaid style with a big huge flair at the bottom, you may want something with more pouf. I think this goes best with dresses that just need flared out and not wadding up around your legs. It made a a real difference in how my dress looked. Love it.

This is my second order for this slip. First, I ordered the L/Xl. My waist is around 32/33 inches. The L/XL was so large that it fell off! The size chart said that it fit waists 35 inches and larger. I guessed wrong! I had previously ordered a mermaid slip from Amazon that should have fit my waist, according to the chart, but was so tight that it was uncomfortable, and it looked unattractive, squeezing fat up above the waistband. I reordered a smaller size. and this Shimaly slip fits as the chart indicates. The S/M fits perfectly - not baggy, not "bumpy", and not uncomfortable! For reference, I weigh 125 pounds, and wear a 12/14. It has the amount of "pouf" I was looking for, making it easier to walk, and adding flare to the bottom of my gown. I took off a star because the inside seam where the lining attaches is "itchy". I will probably sew bias tape over the inside seam. I couldn't avoid the dreaded "hoop bump" with the other slip I purchased, so going without a hoop works better for me. Wedding dresses, where we want perfection, are really difficult. This slip is my answer!

I ordered this product to use for my upcoming wedding, because I couldnât imagine paying $85 for one at my bridal shop!! First thing to note, they ship it to you inside out! Make sure you flip it out before putting it on or it will be extra itchy! Secondly, make sure you hang it up so it can air out. I steamed mine and let it dry outside and it puffed up even more! Only downside is the sizing. Image a big behind & hips, but a small belly. So the slip fit very well over my stomach, but was toooooooo tight on my hips and butt.
