I ordered this to go under a black dress for an Ursula costume, and it worked great. It fit perfectly, and wasn't too long or too short for me (I'm 5'6" 135 and ordered size small/medium). It's pretty sturdy, I wired tentacles to the hoop for my costume, and it held up all day with walking, sitting, riding in a car, etc....
Black faded onto fingers and clothing

The petticoat worked perfectly for the dress, but straight from the packaging it turned my fingers black and undergarments. Just be prepared if this happens to you.UPDATE: I sink-washed the top part of the petticoat and watched the dye drain away. It did not affect the garment. Rather than hanging to dry, I draped the petticoat over the bathtub. Mistake....it stained the tub and a trail to the drain. Vinegar, nor baking soda removed the stain. Finally, powdered Comet worked.
