You can probably order down a size with these unless you have a large butt. I'm an apple so I ordered a 3X but the waistband is pretty generous so I could have worn a 2X. I'm 5'6" so I wear the slip pulled all the way up and it's still past my knees. If you're petite you should order a different slip. Order a size smaller and snip what you don't need if you don't want so much billowing about. I personally find the slip to suitable to what I've been wearing with it and have never had a problem with it being seen or being too bulky.

Love this. If you have chubby thighs, this is perfect to wear under a skirt in the summer time if you are walking a lot. I ordered a larger size than needed but wanted the extra room for comfort. Makes my skirts hang better too. I did not trim mine to any other length as I wear long skirts but you could trim with no problems. I've had these for years and love them. They are not the most attractive under garment but they serve a purpose for me and that was all I needed.

I accidentally purchased a different brand of snip-it culottes. Wore them one day and the stupid things fell apart. I thought the style of snip-it had changed. Then I found these. The style of snip-it is the same as it ever was, the quality is still excellent, the fit is roomy (which is what I want in culottes/pettipants and I am so happy I purchased two pair. The color is a bit strange, but no one's going to see them so I could care less. Bottom Line: I'm delighted with my purchase. I heartily recommend these. I will continue to buy these until I drop dead. I've already worn these for fifty years so we'll just have to see how much longer ;-)

I never knew this type of garment existed! I like to wear sundresses on hot days, and this summer has been filled with them. But I didn't like my legs rubbing together ( making it hard to walk properly). It's unavoidable no matter what size you are.The only regret I have about this culotte slip is that I never bought them before now. I now have 3 pairs, they are easy to snip to size. They are a bit tall in the waist, but I just pull them way up. ( I bought a size larger than I am just in case they ran small but they don't ) I even wear them under my nightgown, so comfortable!

Perfect solution to chub rub! Needed something to wear under my summer dresses and capris are not always the best option. These are comfortable and they don't gather and ride up your legsI found them to be sized perfectly and the fabric to be soft and comfortable. I love how I could cut them to customize the length.

I love the length on this, and it's comfortable to wear, but the rise is ridiculous. I wear pettipants to prevent chub rub, but the crotch on these things is so low it doesn't help in that area. I'm going to try a smaller size and hope the elastic doesn't cut into my waist too much in hopes that it might fit better elsewhere. I don't want my slips tight, but I also don't wear my belly weight under my hips, which is apparently how pettipant designers think their customers are shaped. Or that we like having our undergarments fit over our bust, too.

I was looking for a summer alternative to hose to prevent "chub rub". I have tried several brands of slip shorts, but they all crept up my legs. Ugh! So I began searching for other options with a longer inseam. I read other reviews and decided to give these a try. I was not surprised to experience the same fit issues mentioned by other reviewers. Being 5'2", the length fell several inches below my knees and the rise was also too long, which is not an uncommon problem for me. I also found the lace to be stiff. Still determined to give them a trial run, I washed them according to the care label (machine wash / tumble dry low). To my surprise, THEY SHRUNK! I am so glad I did not shorten it first, because they are now ALMOST PERFECT! The length is to my knees and the rise is just a tiny bit off. The lace is not as stiff, and I suspect it will get softer with every washing. The nylon fabrication is not as cool as the cotton/spandex slip shorts. But I still prefer this culotte slip. It beats those creepers any day!!
Overall, nice garment, and solves hot summer thigh comfort problem. Does have some cons, so check those out.

PROS: What I like is that the petti slip/culotte is long enough to wear effectively under skirts, and prevent thigh rubbing even on a hot summer day. It allows me to not wear hose, and be able to wear cute sandals. The lace on the slip makes it feminine. The wideness of the legs creates a slip like effect. This product would not work well if you are looking for an under slacks garment...that should be closer fitting.CONS: What I don't like is the high rise design of the waist...to have the legs sit in the right place the waist band has to be higher than my waist. I think it would fit a person with a much larger belly area. Other than that, the medium fit appropriately. I could probably wear a small, but I suspect it would still sit too high, as proportions are somewhat off (or old fashioned). Nevertheless, it is the only garment of it's kind to solve the thigh problem...so is worth it.
