The leather is smooth and supple. Have used it only a few times so far but it will soften a little and drape a little more with use. I'm particular about my purses and nice white leather bags are especially hard to find (in my opinion). This checks all the boxes: soft, smooth leather; well designed, easy to carry. It is very roomy without feeling like you're carrying a suitcase. Has a nice drape but with enough structure to sit upright. Liked it enough to get a it in black as well.

This is a very large bag--just as shown in the product image. It also seems a bit heavy, so this might not be ideal for everyone, but it is great for my purposes. I carry lots of stuff and I prefer larger bags. I would say this is among the largest of my bags. I read a review that said this seemed more like a tote than a hobo, and I have to agree. This is my first ever purchase of a truly white purse and I am concerned with the possibility of dye transfer from my jeans (this happened to an ivory bag I had a couple of years ago, and I wasn't even wearing new or even close to new jeans that day). I tried nearly every remedy I could find online and managed to get most of it out, but I sure don't want anything to happen to my new bag. This time, I intend to use a protectant first so hopefully that won't happen. It isn't specifically stated in the product description that this bag is made of lamb leather, but that is how it is shown on several other retail websites. I don't have any experience with this type of leather (most of my Frye bags are pretty rugged) but I read that it is fragile, and requires extra care--it does seem smooth and somewhat delicate. I don't usually baby my purses, but I will make an exception for this one. The leather feels soft, but the bag has some structure (it is not floppy). The bag is very versatile and can be carried several different ways--the shoulder strap is adjustable for on one shoulder or cross-body and can be easily removed with the snaps. The hand-held strap is also adjustable and it can be removed as well (it has metal posts that fit through slots punched in the leather. The hand-held strap is wide and seems very sturdy. The shoulder strap is not as wide, and although it does seem adequate to handle the weight of a fully loaded bag, I would have preferred a wider strap. The hardware is substantial and well made, as are the eye-catching zippers (especially the unique zipper on the generously sized front pocket w/double teeth on one side). There is a single zippered pocket (regular zipper) and two slip-pockets inside. No key fob. The lining isn't as nice as some of my older Frye bags. However, the leather is beautiful and the construction is excellent. So happy that I found this gorgeous bag at an amazing price. I will be carrying it all summer and for many summers to come...Wish there was a way to rate this at four and a half stars--it is not quite five stars for me, but I think it is better than four stars, especially at the current pricing at less than half suggested retail!

Not happy with seller. This bag was defective. The zipper on front of bag was on backwards, thus the Frye logo was not facing out. I find it hard to believe the seller didnât notice this. Anyone who is a handbag lover would certainly notice this detail.The seller told Amazon that I probably broke the zipper. Obviously not true. The zipper on this bag is extremely sturdy. Also, I would never lie about this! If you look at the pictures the zipper is obviously not broken. I am certain Frye doesnât want their logo NOT showing.I just want my bags to be perfect when I receive them. This certainly was not!I am hoping Amazon will help me get my money back. The seller is refusing to refund me.

I love this purse it! It is fabulous! I love the leather, hardware, and the size. I use it as a cross body and it is perfect. I love that it has the additional strap for the shoulder. Beautiful leather~ So happy! The color is gorgeous too!!!!
