Overpriced, cheap materials, not thrilled.

Just received this bag today in the winter berry and I was surprised how cheap the bag felt for $100. I have been carrying VB's for a while, and carry a bag called the carryall crossbody (which was well made and only cost $72 new) which I'm guessing was replaced by this new Carson design. This new "cotton" is very thin and feels cheap. I don't like the short strap at all. It looks cheap and scratches my neck. It would only be comfortable to wear with a coat. It's also pretty short at about an 8 inch drop. The longer strap is too thin. I don't see it lasting. I absolutely hate the new metal zipper. It is super sharp. The old VB's have a plastic zipper. Also the zipper pulls are different. There is a leather-ish one to open the bag, and then a plastic one inside the bag. Two kinds of zipper pulls further cheapen the look of the bag. I also don't like the front flap. It sits weirdly at an angle, and the sewn on piece that holds the magnet pulls when I try to open it. Over time I see this definitely coming off. This bag would be better priced around $65. Wouldn't recommend or buy again. This new bag needs a redesign.

Tired of lugging heavy handbags around, I wanted something more practical and lightweight. This is THEE bag. I loaded this purse with all of my essenstials, and it still seems to defy gravity. The shoulder strap is comfortable, the crossbody strap is comfortable, and when you use one, the other doesnât get in the way. Oh, and the bag is adorable, and the lining is so pretty. The inside is just as gorgeous as the outside. Plenty of functional pockets too, for those items that need their own special place. Love!!!

I had to return this. The main zipper at the top and the opening was not big enough to be practical. When I reach for my wallet, I donât want to have to wrestle with my purse!

Of all my Vera Bradley bags I love this new Carson Shoulder Bag design the best. Perfect as a shoulder or crossbody bag and plenty big enough for work and travel. Also big enough to pack a folding shopping tote like a Longchamp Le Pliage or Envirosac in when you want to go shopping. Also holds a small bottle of water no problems as well.

Oh my heck I was excited to get this bag and now that I finally got it I'm so in love with it!! Enough pockets for all my things. It's big enough for my Kindle reader and my tablet which I'm happy about. I'm so happy I finally decided to get it. Not disappointed at all. Also bought the matching wallet. Very happy customer.

I have a few Vera Bradley bags, but I think this one is my favorite. I love the organization of the 2 pockets on the front and the large pocked across the back that has a magnet in the middle. The middle zippered compartments holds everything I need. I also have the matching Vera Bradley wallet that holds everything I could possibly need in there. The inside zippered compartment holds things you want to keep extra secure. It also has 2 smaller compartments on the other wall that I use to keep lipstick, lip balm, small mirror; and the other one holds a couple of pens and a pencil. I also love that you can change the length of the shoulder strap to make this a cross body bag. Even though it's weighed down, this bad is very comfortable to carry.

I love the size and quality of this bag! Itâs not too big or too small. Lots of pockets. Love the two handles for if you want a shoulder bag or cross body. Two smaller outside pockets on front of bag perfect for easy to reach items like a phone or keys. Larger inside pocket again with two smaller pockets for phone or hand sanitizer/lotion etc. Zipper concealed compartment on inside and another larger pocket with magnetic closure on the back side of the bag. Quilted fabric is very thick, colors are vibrant. My only complaint is the zipper is low quality for what I expect with the price of a Vera Bradley. The zipper sticks horribly so I rarely close this bag. Otherwise it is great.

I've loved the Carson Crossbody ever since it was introduced so I have a few, but I love this new Deep Night Paisley even more. The pattern and blend of colours is perfect for my, almost permanent, wardrobe of Blue Jeans and white Tees.The crossbody strap is long too. I'm 8 ½ months pregnant and on the chubby side besides, and it goes around me easily. It's just an all around great bag. I highly recommend it.
