Don't buy - terrible scent that lasts for months

There was another review that has since disappeared warning potential buyers of terrible scent. I don't know what the seller is using on this purse, but the terrible scent engulfed my apartment and car. I let the purse "air out" for months - still the scent - couldn't use the purse. The seller was unresponsive to my concerns, and Amazon ended up giving me a full refund. I find it suspect that this purse has received 5 star reviews.

This is a beautiful bag, made of real, dark (goat**) leather, with good-quality hardware and stitching that will last. I love the rich color of the leather, the green interior is quite beautiful and remniscient of early 20th century saddlebags. I know it'll only be more beautiful when the leather softens from use! It is very hard to tell from the pictures exactly how big it is, so I hope my photo will help others to know if it fits their needs. This bag is NOT a catch-all bag if you tend to use your purses as storage ;) You'll be able to fit a small-to-medium size wallet (not large - my current rectangular wallet doesn't fit,) phone, keys, lipstick, and pen. It's perfect to take with you on a date or meet-up, or to run errands. This bag is NOT for bringing anywhere you may end up needing space to hold anything you might pick up, like class or work. What you have in it when you leave the house is pretty much what it'll hold, which is fine, because it isn't marketed as a catch-all bag. I will be very happy wearing it around; It's stylish, can be worn with most outfits, and looks more expensive than it is. Four stars because there are places where the seams have been stitched several times over (not clean), there are a couple loose strings that I had to snip, and the holes are very stiff. It was quite a challenge to get the buckle through them at first, but I'm sure as the leather ages, they'll become softer and easier. I also wish there were more holes in the strap. Right now it can only be worn as a cross-body bag, and if there were more holes, it could be worn over one shoulder like a typical purse. I will probably put my own holes in it when I have a proper leather punch. The overall quality of this bag definitely makes it seem like it costs a lot more than it does. Overlooking these small details in the manufacturing process is the only giveaway (and can be remedied by the buyer.) Buy this bag!!!

I needed a cross body bag for use in my wheelchair so I could push myself more easily. I was tired of bags that break down. I just bought this and the strap seems thick and sturdy. I was looking for a bag with particians to help organize my things. This has three main compartments plus zippered compartments and front compartment. I'm very pleased! The bag and it's componants appear to be very sturdy and longlasting. The leather is beautiful in my estimation. It's not terribly fancy but I think it has a timeless appearance, fashion and value to it and at $35 it was a steal. This bag looks like a $150 bag. I'm very happy with my purchase and sure this bag will not only be helpful but a cherished piece of my wardrobe. I'm also happy it is from India as I feel Indian products are very appealing to me. I neglected to mention the straps are adjustable with sturdy, beautiful hardware.

Okay, this and bottle of Leather Honey Leather Conditioner arrived today. It was thirsty leather. After many heavy applications of Leather Honey and allowing it hours to soak in, its done and gorgeous! The colors darkened and reddened with the Leather Honey, the color is beautiful. Its big enough for my kindle and all my stuff without looking like too much bag to carry. I love the larger size. I'm large so its in proportion to me. I finished conditioning the bag in a single day, I am so pleased with it! The hardware on the bag feels really vintage. It really felt like I was reconditioning a vintage bag. My grandmother taught me to spruce up the leathers as a kid. I really love this bag all the more for needing a little attention. So many bags are coated and painted and you just have to trust leather is under there. I prefer this. No one's name or logos are emblazoned on it, but anyone can see its real leather and well cared for.Update: I ordered the smaller size and my 10 inch Kindle does not fit in it. Leather Honey softens it better than Chamberlains Leather Milk Healing Balm which add more shine than Leather Honey. I over conditioned my first bag a little but I dried it well and its fine, very soft but holds its shape. My daughters said they wouldn't want to go to the trouble I did, they are fine with fake leather. I expect these bags to outlast their stuff for decades though. The smaller one seems more casual, the larger one is my favorite. If you've never conditioned leather, you really should start with these. Their value and appeal goes up considerably with a couple of applications of Leather Honey. The larger sized bag ends up being the most bag for the buck because it looks so expensive now.

Only thing is it smells strong like leather , was a. Amazing purse for $25 bucks I get stoped and asked where I bought it from and it looks like high end /quality !!!

Love this purse! I did order a large one first and it was too big. Sort of masculine! After returning that one, I ordered the medium size. It came damaged and a new one was sent shortly. Its perfect! It definitely had a horrible smell, but I aired it out for a week and the smell went away.

This bag is great quality for the price!!! Very well made. I wanted a crossover bag that was actually big enough to carry more than just a wallet. I can carry wallet, sunglasses, my kindle, and more. I love this bag!

I love it. This is the 3rd saddle bag I have ordered in a week in a half. Trying to find the right size. Now I have small, medium and large. This is the perfect medium sized bag. for my everyday use. I may order another one to have on hand in case they stop making this size and quality. No smell, perfect leather!
