A great bag for travel

A great bag for travel, or just for running around if you've got a few bigger things you need to take with you. One other reviewer noted that it did not stand up on it's own, except when full. I found the same thing, but it really didn't bother me. Took it on a 6 hour fight and carried a bit of food, my Kindle, a book, a small purse with all those 'purse' things in it, sunglasses, compression socks, pens & etc, the bottle of water I purchased at the airport, and for a brief time, I stuffed in the sweatshirt that I carried on the plane. One day I also used it to carry my DSLR camera (it's not small) and a flash unit, as well as sunglasses & my normal purse stuff (in the big interior zip pocket). And when it's not stuffed full, it remains quite sleek considering it's overall size. I love the colors that are available.

I've had this Baggallini Avenue tote on my wish list for many months. I was recently given one as a gift. It's just the size I was hoping for. It fits most of the things I might throw in there for a trip. In the photos you can see all the things I was able to put in the bag and still be able to zip it closed.It held: ~Water bottle in front pocket~Large sunglass case in front pocket~Large phone in front zippered pocket (passport/tickets, also fit)~Snack bars in V-shaped front pocket, which also has a detachable ID tag/business cards~Back zip pocket can hold file folder, magazines and a paperback book, or leave empty and unzip top & bottom to sit over luggage handle.~In main compartment I fit my 13" MacBook Air inside it's 11"X14" soft sided case.~Bose headphones inside case~Kindle Fire inside it's case~Power cords~External hard drive~Small purse or (wallet)I was happy that my Baggallini Everyday Bag fit nicely inside my new Baggallini Avenue Tote, so all my essentials and credit cards were accessible while only having to carry the one bag.
Checks all the boxes for a great work bag.

I bought this bag after trying out no fewer than 5 other work/travel bags. All-leather bag was too heavy. Samsonite was very functional but ugly. Fashionable tote didn't have any organization and didn't close at the top. Canvas was too floppy and not professional looking.This bag I think will be the one I use for a long time. It's attractive enough, looks professional but still goes well with airport-comfy clothes, fits a 13" wide laptop perfectly, does not dwarf my petite 5'3" body, has a removable shoulder strap and long handles, fits on the telescoping handle of my roller suitcase, has great organization, pockets perfect for a water bottle, lightweight durable and easily cleaned nylon.The laptop is on the same side as the zippers that open for the luggage handle- that was a criticism of some other versions of this bag. And there are long pockets on either side of the front middle pockets on mine that are not in the stock photo. Great bag. I'm very happy with it!

As a flight attendant, I need a travel tote that I can also use as a purse/ bag-on-the-go. This bag is hands down the best purchase I've gotten for my traveling life and career. It is made with very nice quality material, the pockets are great and organize everything I have, and it's the perfect size to strut around the airport. Love that it zips up so that my stuff doesn't fall out... love the ability to have a side pocket and convert it into a handle to put on your suitcase. It's great and I can tell it'll last a very long time.

I am a fan of Baggallini's, but I have to admit I'm disappointed in this one. It does have the same great quality of the brand. I love that. It has a nice small zippered pocket on the front that could be used as easy access to your cellphone. My 13.3" laptop fits easily into the padded computer sleeve. That's great. However, I needed a bad to sit on top of my rolling carry-on. This will do that when both the top and bottom zippers of the large back pocket are unzipped. The pocket transforms in to a trolley sleeve that way - but then, you can't use the pocket. It's only of the main storage areas of the tote. I wish that Baggallini had made a separate trolley sleeve on top of that nice large pocket, so that I could use the pocket when traveling. The other thing that concerns me is that the only the little pocket on the front is zippered. I have lost things out of bags with unzippered pockets when I've put them under the seat, so I don't trust those front pockets for anything important. I just feel that Baggallini really missed a great opportunity to provide more useful zippered pockets that are much needed for travel.

I bought this bag because I wanted one with a strap/band I could attach to my suitcase. What isnât clear by the description is that the attachment is actually the entire back pocket. The pocket is 17 inches across, which means that the bag will flop around when attached to the suitcase. The bag itself seems well made, it is light but still made of a strong material. It has a pouch for my netbook, which will come in handy. It is unfortunate that they didnât attach an actual strap to fit over suitcase handles. It seems like such an easy thing for the designers to have done. To slide the pocket over the suitcase handles, I would have to open the top and bottom zippers of the pocket, and then attach a pin of some kind to stop the bag from moving. That also makes the pocket itself completely unusable.

I love Baggalini products and this is about the 20th Iâve purchased. The red colour is not too bright, just the right saturation. The Avenue Tote is a good size for carrying everything and has a separate side for a tablet or smallish laptop. I like an interior fabric of a contrasting colour too. Rugged material that wipes off easily and this tote can stand on its own, i.e., it doesnât collapse when empty or lightly filled.

Forget your other travel bags, this is THE ONE. Light as a feather, cross-body to free your arms up, efficiently organised, and stylish on top of it all. This will definitely be my daughter's birthday present, and my Mom's, and my next one. Baggallini understands travel like no other make I've tried: this is the bag you want at duty free and on the plane, at the market once you're there, probably the beach. It will fit anything you throw at it while weighing next to nothing itself. Obsessed.

Love this bag, use it everyday for work and it is great for flights. Very lightweight and lots of room, while still looking professional. A couple things would make it better: slightly longer shoulder handles and a little more room for the water bottle pockets. Other than that, happy I bought this bag.
