So small and off size it's almost impossible to order correctly

This product runs so small, I was convinced we had ordered a child's shoe. Perhaps the wrong shoe was sent in error? But, the label indicates that it is indeed what we ordered. Not sure I can recommend given this crazy size discrepancy.
Canvas not leather

The item description says leather. A few lines down it says canvas. I was uncertain which it would be - they are canvas, and Iâm not happy with the misleading description.

So I read all the reviews, because Amazon does not provide manufacturer sizing. According to the reviews the shoes run small but how small? Who really knows. So we ordered a size larger. WRONG!!! The box the shoes came in said size 7 but they fit like a size 4 or 5. So we returned the Hanamis and ordered a similar style from a different brand who's sizing is more clear. Too bad for Capezio that they are so poorly represented on Amazon.

This product is so small, I am convinced we were sent a child's shoe. Maybe we were, I don't really know b/c the label matches the order, while the shoe is not even close to the right size (it's about half the size of my daughter's foot!). And, this is with the two sizes increase mentioned in the recommendations for ordering the shoe. I have bought many, MANY dance shoes over the years, so I usually am able to figure out the crazy sizing discrepancies for each manufacturer and to keep it simple, I usually stick to Bloch or Capezio. I am not sure what the deal is, but I would not buy these shoes again, or recommend the "Under Moments" seller... Every time I order from them, something seems to get mixed up, the order takes longer to receive, and their returns are not as easy as usual amazon returns even though they are a "prime" seller. I'm going to have to go locally for this one!!

This sizing is ludicrous. Even after reading reviews and ordering sizes up, when they arrived it was laughable at how TINY they were. I donât even know that I could use them as mittens!Not only that, when I returned them I was given a partial refund. One of the WORST products and service experiences on Amazon to date.I am so unhappy and would not recommend this product. If I wouldâve known Iâd be ripped off when returning them, I wouldâve kept them and gifted them to my 5 year old niece because theyâd probably fit her little feet just right.

I love these shoes!Iâve used this brand for years. So knowing that I know they tend to run small and narrow. I ordered them a size up and then went with my point shoe width to make sure I had the right width of the shoe (so if you have a wide Metatarsal area, go for the wide and not a regular width, even with a narrow heel).I just required my students to get them too and they LOVE them as much as I do!

My 11 and 8 year old daughters both use these for their ballet classes. They are our favorite style from any brand so far. We love the cross cross elastic straps to hold the shoe in the exact spot that they should be in and not slipping to the sides. My 8 year old just transitioned to this shoe from a leather sided slipper with one strap and had no problems adjusting to the new fit.The size is much smaller than traditional shoe sizes, so be sure to measure and size down if there is a question.

So after reading the comments below, I ordered 2 different sizes to be sure: one 1.5 sizes too big, and one 2 sizes too big. The 2 sizes was definitely too big, It fit, but was definitely some bunching and the leather sole was reaching my toes rather than the sole of my foot.The 1.5 sizes above is okay... very comfortable and not tight at all. but personally I wanted that skin-tight slick look to really mold to my feet, so I will try going only 0.5-1 size higher next time.

Lovely shoes - but remember Capezio sizing is different from standard. My DD is a 13 (so needed a UK1) I recommend buying 1 size clarger than shoe size. Easy to put on, good fit and my daughter loves them. I like them on her too.

I usually wear capezio sculpture II and was intrigued by the new 4 way stretch material of the new hanami. Those slippers just arrived and they are so great ! They fit a bit larger than the sculpture II (which runs quite small) and the criss cross elastics are better placed on the hanami too ( the slipper hugs your foot when on relevé which was not the case with the sculpture II ). The material is so innovative and SO stretchy ! It feels like you are wearing a sock ! I highly recommend
