This bag is awesome. It came in the mail yesterday and I was so amazed by the quality. I'm used to buying from purses from places like Target so this is a huge step up in everything except price.Great things about this purse:-The 'beige' color in the picture is nice, but the color in real life is even better. It's a little darker and not as golden looking. A more accurate description would be taupe since it is definitely darker and more grey than my 'beige' skin.-This bag has a zipper AND a snap to keep it all closed up. This is a HUGE bonus for me as I can't stand bags that just have a little snap.-There are pockets on the outside. Nothing worse than having a purse with no external pockets to put car keys in.-It comes with an attachable strap so you can wear it cross-body. So far I've been unable to clip it in a place where the handles don't lay awardly.-It feels so expensive. The 'leather' is thick and sturdy, there are straps and buckles and dimension to the bag that really make it look high quality.-There is an incredible amount of room in the bag.-There's little snaps at the opening of the bag that would come in handy if I needed to bring along my laptop or sketch book. (They also look really cute)-It was a great price. For the same price at Target you can get a semi-cute bag that is floppy and flimsy and has a total of 1 pocket built into the lining.Things I wish were different about this purse:-I wish there was a divider or maybe some sturdier pockets on the inside of the bag. This is not a huge deal since I recently bought a purse organizer from eBay for like 4$.-It is a tiny bit too big for me. If was 2 inches narrower I would like it more.-I wish the handles were not the hard noodle kind. I think they would be more comfortable if they were flat.-In the pictures, the bag is shown dipping at the top between the handles. You can push it around so that it does fold a little, but it doesn't look quite as natural as it does in the photos.I had to search long and hard for things to put in the 'con' section. As of now, I am incredibly happy with my purchase and will definitely be buying more Scarleton bags in the future. I can't say anything about durability yet, however I'll be suprised if it shows any wear after a year of using daily.

I purchased this bag specifically because it had a cross body strap, in addition to the handles and was large enough to use as a carry-on for a family vacation. Imagine my disappointment when the strap broke as I was getting out of the car on my way to the airport. The clasp seems to have snapped into pieces. It was useless. It also has a very odd odor. Not at all worth it, even at the very discounted price I paid.

I bought this bag as a lightning deal and I should have read the reviews first. The bag is nice, nicely made, has a buttery texture to it it's very big if you like big bags the only problem I had with it was when I put the shoulder strap on one of the clips at the end came apart. The eye hole that the strap goes into is bigger than the actual end that has to go inside it therefore I will be sending this back back and never re buying it. I bought the bag for the shoulder strap because I like crossbodies now I can't even use it for that purpose.

I received my bag today and I really like it. It fits perfectly under my arm so it's functional as a shoulder bag. I like that it has a snap closure as well as a zipper on the top opening. If you are in a hurry, the snap closure will be enough if your bag isn't overly full. The zipper pocket on the front holds my cell phone just fine. This bag is not overly heavy. The bag will expand quite a bit if you unbuckle the front closures and the side snaps. The bag is not designed to stand upright like it is pictured. Also, it appears there is a "flap" or envelope pocket on the front above the buckles. This is not the case. I am assuming this is a style detail only.I'm really not digging this brown color, but my hubby thinks it looks like rich leather. I may get another color and save this one for Autumn. I feel like the color is spot on as pictured. I am recommending this bag. It is my second Scarlton bag and my first bag has been wonderful and held up quite well over the Winter.

Took it on the plane as soon as I got it the strap broke. Left everything inside exposed.It was a good thing I was with a aide in the line when it happened all my Meds,Jewelery,tissues, &Money, all was carry on that I did not want them going thru & enough that the zipper did not close over it.I never expected that & I was not fast enough to get the handles.The young fella cleaned up the mess while we held up the line getting on. My Kindle didn't brake I had just gotten that from Amazon.

I bought this bag specifically to use on a long trip. While it has several compartments and pockets, they are so shallow, thin, and/or open that they are useless. If the decorative belt thing on the front was the top of a large pocket, it would be useful. But no, the outside front pocket is only the small zippered part you see. Itâs maybe 2 1/2â deep. Wouldnât even fit my cell phone. The pocket on the back is a few inches deeper, but not wide enough for much of anything, including my cell phone. Other than one small zippered compartment, the inside pockets are shallow and open. Everything fell outof the open pockets and into the center. I couldnât find a thing in the bag without practically emptying the whole thing. I finally got some ziplock bags to organize things a bit, but that was not much better. Half way through my trip I found a better bag at Fred Meyer, deep enough, with deep, wide, closed pockets, and I ditched this one.

I am returning this bag as it did not look anything like the illustration and I felt it was poor quality. I was very disappointed
