Yes, this purse is velvet and gorgeous! Super cute to pair it with formal or casual attire. I cannot wait to use it for the wedding I am attending in May.
Material is suede, not smooth leather

Love the bag, just not the material I expected. Ordered beige thinking it would be smooth leather. It's Suede. However I have a pair of red suede shoes and will return it for that one. Not sure if they're all that way but I definitely wasn't expecting beige suede...and to think I paid 28 bucks for expedited shipping.
